Certified male here, I think I got lost on the way to the Ethan Ralph cult but this thread looked very interesting as I've been hearing the phase "pick me girl" more frequently as of late. I have a personal example I'd like a female perspective on, especially after reading through this thread.
- I have a female co-worker who drives me nuts. She's early 20's, """bi-sexual""", this is in quotes because I do not believe her claims about this, especially given that only days after she told me about all the fooling around she does with women (it was once, they were both drunk, they only kissed, that's it, never talked again, her words), she got into a relationship with an alcoholic Ukrainian refuge male, who treats her like shit. She's also depressed, adhd, bipolar, anxiety, blah blah blah (none of this diagnosed officially by her own admission). Oh and she loves "Call of Duty with the bois," especially shit talking people.
- Discussing this with another male co-worker (who also is annoyed by her) we agreed she's a pick-me and completely fake.
- Based on reading this thread I think I may have unfair labelling her a pick-me. She seems to have a single trait from like 5 different Pick-Me archetypes, but doesn't slot fully into any. So, am I right or wrong?
Also for what it's worth, I concur that Male Feminists who contort their whole being into a facade hoping for a croom of puss are the male pick me
