Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

I don't know about that. Due to the mechanics and the disconnected nature of the game Starfield is a perfect framework for extensive user created content as each planet is a blank slate to be filled with stuff. I can see modders making whole planets up for their little setting instead of having to alter the universe at large
The potential is there to be sure, but I just don't know if enough people will care about Starfield to take advantage over Skyrim.

I thought it was pretty short, but that might have been because of how the fast travel system works.
No it's short because the game expects you to play NG+ for the plot.
That's right, they turned the main quest into a fucking radiant quest.

And no, your items don't transfer. So you know. I'm totally happy my 9million credits and 1million cred ship exploded or whatever.
Especially since one NG+ scenario involves buying artifacts at 1million creds a pop apparently. SO HURRAY FUCKING NICEE.

Yeah no. There are already memory leak issues just loading in a blank fucking hex with barely any foliage, it's not going to end well.

I mean...you could just go back to a save before you did New Game+.

New Game+ doesn't delete your old saves with all your old stuff FYI.

Yeah sure let me just go back to an older save where I already did almost all the plot so I can keep going into the NG+ plot. vry nice.
Imagine touting a NG+ mechanic, not telling people what happens and the solution is "just don't use it lmao."

The real solution is to use console commands like in every Bethesda title.

And the main point of all this is that the main questline is shit because it expects you to keep doing NG+ to get the ACTUAL main plot.
And every reroll of the "plot" involves losing all your items and money.

It's the same retarded shit with outposts all over again.
Also you lose your outposts too.

Moral of the story

Never focus on Bethesda main quest, focus on the factions.

The Act Man takes the Bethesdrone pill and defends Starefield like the good little paypig he is. He also throws Az under the bus for screaming about pronouns in his video and tells you you're insane if you think Starfield is highly woke. I never respected this guy to begin with so I'm not surprised a big name youtuber is going the way of the bugman now that he's making more money than the working class.

Synth outright calls Act a corporate cocksucker in his review. Should be fun once he finds out.

Honestly I sort of regret talking shit about Synthetic Man in his appreciation thread. Say what you want about him (I still think he needs to learn to articulate his points better) he at least has principles that he sticks by. He also seems to respect his fanbase enough that he's willing to talk to them during streams unlike other corporate cucks.

I really can't tell if he's just shilling or if he's just playing dumb and talking AROUND the issues. He spends half the video quoting literal whos about pronouns and landing on gas giants as if that's really the core issue people have with Starfield is.

Never mind the shallow mile-wide-inch-deep gameplay mechanics, the performance issues among a pretty sizable amount of people who aren't playing on NASA computers, the unoriginal plot that's literally just a hodgepodge of sci-fi material that's already been done to death over the last 40 years, so on so forth.

Personally, I don't give a shit enough to get upset over pronouns. It's just pandering window dressing for the modern social climate. Choosing they/them pronouns has no effect to on the social elements of the game anyways, so why include it if not just for a corporation to say "we support current thing"?

It's like sitting down to eat at a nice diner and noticing a massive dildo plastered on the wall next to your table. You inquire to the waiter about it, to which they respond, "Why? Does it bother you? Why does it bother you? It doesn't seem to bother anyone else. It's not hurting you." While I would agree with the sentiment that it is, indeed, doing me no harm, it does seem out of place and does nothing to elevate my dining experience.

QuantumTV did nothing wrong.

TLDW its fallout 4 in space but worse.

we were too hard on no man skies,
I know very little about this game so far but the images of the NPCs have me cracking up. The glassy eyed stares combined with the blank drugged out facial expressions while they shuffle around in what looks like 1980s sweatsuits reminds me of when I used to work in a mental hospital.

Skyrim NPCs kinda looked like ass but the design at least suggested that they were normal healthy people instead of on seven different psych meds.

yeah sure let me just ignore magic, and like THE place for an actual challenging boss.
For:
-5 bear asses quest + 1 thematic quest + 1 middling boss fight for a shitty legendary. 4 times.
Seriously imagine liking DRUMPF SIMULATOR/Emil Masturbation Fantasy #19283384/Corporate Emil Samurai #10439483.

Anyways, anyone else notice this feels like fallout 5 but they stole shit from NMS? Like remove the space shit and you have NCR + Caesars Legion + BoS.
