Like my neighborhood is decently designed. There's faster, higher capacity streets that pass through, and drivers generally prioritize those over the more residential streets deeper in the neighborhood. Which is fine and good.

But one time, I was crossing a street at a stop sign, and I had the right of way, and some faggot blew through the stop sign and almost hit me. Now that's just some random faggot and that can happen anywhere, but I can imagine that would be frustrating if you had that kind of traffic outside your front door everyday. That would be a fair complaint to have.

I agree on having good design and people not being assholes. It'd be annoying to have all that shit outside your home. I just can't justify ripping apart a existing city to fix what's technically functional. Also yeah, drivers need to be aware, full agree.

You're not the only one. Several people in this thread (including me) keep getting this garbage shoved in my recommendations. That self-hating Hello Road video has been covered here several times by now.

You're definitely not alone. 8 months ago or so I literally could not get away from NJB videos despite blocking them out of my recs multiple times. And everytime I pull the GPS, if it's within a certain distance it'll try to give me walking/bus directions before car directions, and I have yet to find a way to get it to only give me the car directions. Google absolutely loves pushing this urbanism bugman shit.

And the "I'm a car guy and I support urbanism!" guys get the rope first. I have more respect for the nutcases that block highways than I do for these people. If you're a boomer that just wants to go to car shows and take a nice Sunday drive yet support this crap, you literally might be the most retarded person in existence. They're only talking about slashing your tires and sending every single person's car to the scrap heap, but they'll let you have keep your '65 Mustang, the fuel to run it and the roads to run it on. After all, these people are your pals and if you tell them politely but firmly that you're not giving up your car, they'll just respect that. Sure, buddy boy. Keep on believing that. You are literally a male pick-me. You're the less manly Pearl Davis. Try sticking up for the things you care about just once in your life, or if that's too hard maybe just don't fucking cheerlead for people that actively want to confiscate things you care about.

Why the fuck are all cyclists the same. On my commute today these two fuckers were stopped at a red light on the road right beside eachother blocking traffic. When the light turned green we couldn't pass them at all because of traffic coming the other way.

All while there was a fucking sidewalk for them to ride on two feet to their right and they were going on a biking trail in the first place. They all dress the same, they all look the same, they are like actual bug people with how indistinguishable they are from eachother. Every single one is some middle ages bald white guy who is extra cunty to everyone around them. You aren't training for the Tour De France assholes, get off the fucking road and let people who actually use them drive.

I don't know how people tolerate that shit being so widespread just on smell alone, when it got legalized where I'm at I noticed after going from the pits at a race to the line if there was significant 'urban demographic' in attendance the stench hits you like a fucking brick wall- It fucking overpowers the lingering fumes of leaded race gas getting burnt. Just intolerable in any close proximity.

They’re a very, very small minority. Even most American progressives and Dutch people like driving. In the US, with the exception of NYC, practically no one actually wants transit; supporters want other people to ride transit to speed up their car commute. Even urbanists admit this; their fake economic concept of induced demand essentially says that when given the choice between driving and any other mode of transport, everyone will choose to drive.

Unfortunately, banning cars for the little people is a WEF agenda item so governments all throughout the West are implementing anti-car policies despite their unpopularity.

If they met halfway, in the walkable downtown, they would only spend ~30 minutes in transit, and that's assuming they actually live that far away from each other. Also, what movie theater in a large city is isolated with no restaurants nearby?
