Interesting tidbit about Fred is that he's co-streamed with someone whose Vinesauce adjacent, Jabroni Mike. If you're not aware, Vinesauce is a loosely organized group of streamers who mainly stream independently from each other. Mike isn't officially a member of Vinesauce, but he knows and streams with a lot of its members and developed a parasitical relationship, gaining what little notoriety he has off the back of bigger streamers within and outside of Vinesauce and continuing to ride on the fact that he knows these peoples to get views.

He collabs with Knudsen pretty often and as recently as yesterday he went through the entirety of Knudsen's YLYL playlist on YouTube (idk how that counts as content) and uploaded the vod to his full stream channel, presumably at the request of the anime owl himself. I expect that now that he's totally mask off he's going to be looking for conflict. Once he's brought in as a guest to someone else's less moderated chat room, like Mike's, he's gonna start snapping at the people making fun of his gay vtuber persona and how fucking lazy he is.

My theory: Fredrik Knudsen got troll's remorse and this Vtuber persona is his way of making amends.

The storyline of his Astraline character is about how Fredrik Knudsen set out to learn more about humans, with no ill intentions, but didn't understand the concept of biased accounts, which lead to a corruption of the library and introduced a rift into it, which will eventually destroy it and Knudsen himself, unless he stops it, which I interpret as meaning "made video about lolcows by using kiwifarms as a source and uploading them to youtube which further encouraged harassment of those individuals unless he sets the record straight". Caligula might be a stand in of every cow he made fun of. If you watch that lore video again with this in mind, it all makes sense.

Consider the self-absorbed way he thinks, writes and talks, and tell me that he wouldn't write such a self-absorbed story. Of course the analogy is retarded and cringe, but that only makes me more convinced that this is what Knudsen is legitimately going for here, since, to him, everything he does is high art and has a deep meaning.

His video on the Battle of May Island is still a classic, and Fred's imminent trooning won't take that away from me. And when he did venture into the realm of discussing lolcows, he gave them an extremely evenhanded take, refusing to hold back on the gory details but reserving harsh judgements even when they might have been warranted. In a world of spergs screaming incoherently about their target of choice, it was a real breath of fresh air.

It's probably at least partially the fault of youtube. They've gotten increasingly sensitive over the past few years, and he probably came to the conclusion that it would be easier to put on the catboy ears and uwu avatar than it would be trying to force YouTube to remonetize and reupload a video that has a naughty word or a 3 second music clip. Not to mention he was almost certainly pulling content from the Farms, which has recently gained the mainstream reputation of being objectively worse than monkey torture and ISIS recruitment.

There’s a few things that can be learned from Fred’s downfall that every person thinking about doing YouTube as a career should learn from.

1. Do not associate with crazy people

No matter how much they love bomb you, they will drag you down with them. Furries fall under the “crazy people” category because 90% of them have some sort of mental illness or are socially retarded.

Trannies also fall under this category, because there’s nothing “normal” about claiming to be the opposite sex. They are constantly obsessive over how they’re perceived, because nothing will ever change their biological sex no matter how many anti-misgendering laws get put into place. They’re narcissists who will make any subject about their gender identity, even if it has nothing to do with it. Just look at how many of them insist on putting “trans rights” flags onto fucking every intellectual property they interact with. That is peak narcissistic behavior right there.

2. Always remember your roots, because your original audience will respect you more for it

If you make content on Lolcows and other weird subjects, you’ll attract a certain type of audience that isn’t going to care if you step out of line and accidentally “misgender” a mentally ill furry tranny. They’re not going to care if you gawk at retarded people.

But they will care when you start spitting on them and disavow them when faced with a little bit of pressure. They will care when you start becoming the thing that you used to make videos on.

After that, you’re only going to be left with a disloyal, hyper critical audience who will never accept any apology if you say something that makes them upset.

3. It’s better to quit when you’re not interested in your own content anymore than to drag out your patreon

Speaking for myself, I have far more respect for creators who can admit to being burned out and then going on an indefinite hiatus until they can find inspiration again. Why? Because I happen to value honesty and transparency.

It’s one thing to announce a delay for a video by one week. It’s another to leave your audience hanging for almost 2-3 years. And, don’t ask the audience for money if you’re not going to be delivering a video within three months at a time.

If you have no passion for it and just want to do something else with your life, call it quits.

Just don’t expect your audience to be pleased when they see you fucking around with livestreams instead of working on content. It’s nothing personal, just business.

Sorry for the sperging, but seeing Fred go down this path has me glad that I withdrew my funds a few months ago when it became clear to me that he wasn’t going to deliver on making any new videos.

Why the hell does the EVE online video need custom animations, anyway? Why does it need to be 5+ hours long, and why couldn’t it have been released into parts of that is the case? Like I said earlier, I can’t imagine it’s a subject with that much potential content.

Tom has also really plummeted in quality based on what subject he's talking about, but that is very much my own personal tastes in content/gossip.

I don't know if Tom got lucky and sucked up into the algorithm or what but some of his recent videos came up on my front page and have pretty crazy view counts given the niche subject matter.

Some of his older videos are alright but I tried watching a recent one and its unwatchable. He started doing some retarded thing with his voice where he puts too much emphasis on certain words and sounds like some spastic valley girl. Its super grating and I literally cannot listen to more than a minute.

I quite enjoy Beige Frequency as another youtube documentary person, though the subject matter is a bit all over the place and might not be for everyone. He hasn't come out as a gay furry yet as far as I know, hope I didn't just jinx it. Also liked Dank Net but he hasn't put out a video in years, hope that nibba still alive.

I can't even hold it again him at this point. Mike was a big fan of Carlin, frequents Reddit despite shitting on it, and willingly surrounds himself with people like Rev. Of course he's gonna sperg out over how heckin' unwholesome those (largely ineffectual and irrelevant) conservatardz at every five seconds.

He's actually slightly less fucking gay when he's with Knudsen imo, but Fred is absolutely of the same breed of content creator who lets trannies and the other weird fringe groups that surround him dictate how he behaves and reacts.
