Found this. Amusing how he refuses to acknowledge any criticism. Though to be honest Red farting in the mic makes for a more compelling argument than anything Lazernig has said.
This, this proves why David has a thread.

If he is reading this, and he most likely will be, I'll tell him this.

You were never a soldier, for you lack discipline.
You were never in intelligence, for you lack integrity.
You are not even a historian, for you lack intelligence.

What you are is some washed up 34 year old manchild with psychological problems who got lucky on the internet from videos about him sucking a fat cock, dressing in drag, or telling a shitty joke with a sprinkle of military "knowledge" somewhere in the middle from a Wikipedia article or a 5-year old blogpost. Whenever you get criticized, you lash out as if you were a demon exposed to a crucifix, ignoring any sound advice that might help you. You fall for the old trick that homosexuality is a 1-to-1 replacement for personality. Once the war in Ukraine ends, you will fade away from the memory of HistoryTube.

: He's in the OP but I don't believe mentioned by name. Today's lucky anime boy to be woo'd by an alcoholic pig is Falcon's Fighter Tales! Congratulations, young man on your acceptance to the Lazu Piggu harem expanded universe!
I'll watch some of his, the morning drive is boring and I need something to listen to.

This is his biggest flaw. Most historians at least picked up a book or worked at a supply depo. LP as weve seen with the T-34, just looks at blogs and rips it word for word. All when he lives in the U.K.! Home to one of the FINEST tank collections in the world, bar none

They've even gone so far to make informative videos of the collection, bringing the museum to all. The Char B1 video is a personal favorite :achievement:. It's pleasant to listen to on a drive, and descriptive enough that actually looking at it is optional, but welcomed if you do.

Now compare that to LaserHog's video on French armor:
A 34 minute sponsored video that's a jumbled mess that talks more about French politics than the tanks. To be fair... French tanks have a lot of politics tbh. Notably upstaging the English while securing funding for these new fangled metal cannon boxes. French everyone. But he's SO FUCKING long winded and AUTISTIC that you lose the plot.

You want to know what's really sad?

And they have so many more subscribers too. The Char B1, early war, when the most the Germans had was a couple Panzer III's in terms of heavy anti tank during the invasion of France, was a monster, at least when it was running. It was what the Tiger wished it could have been. But with poor radio communication, they got bogged down, swarmed, and killed.

It makes me sad, truly. These people actually work in a museum, take time out to document these vehicles while they still can, all for the benefit of the public. Do they ask you to buy some merch? Yeah, they're a public museum, someone has to keep the lights on. But they never act like they are owed it. They play their bit, and back to the video, like professionals. LP let's that World of Warships ad play for minutes. Makes me sick. So greedy.

Be careful, young Welper! Your avatar makes you a HVT in that sphere. Also stop telling people your age on the internet, retard.

LP and his ilk hold a weird place in popular military history. There's a lot of discussion to have about the best way to achieve it, but most people want personal stories of the people there. That's just not really what they do. Their stories place the machines as the main characters. Even a clear super machine autist like Drach or Greg's Hanger remember the human and treat the subject with proper gravity. These guys make it a meme fest between machines. Just completely disconnected.

I suppose it's an advanced form of Presentism. I'm reminded of a youtube guy who does good research but gets stuck on that. He talked about Pizarro, and how he was motivated to win his father's approval and was jealous of his cousin Cortez. At the same time he'll quote letters from Pizarro and his soldiers both that describe him as a zealot, fighting for Cross and Crown. He ends the tale with Pizarro dying still and forever out shadowed by Cortez. True, but Pizarro died a conqueror in his palace, fighting off assassins until too wounded to hold a sword. Fatally struck in the throat, he collapsed and drew a cross on the floor in his own blood. He kissed it, raised his head and cried out to Jesus with his last breath. Our historian clearly cannot understand Pizarro if he thinks this story should be told through that lens.

To that end, these guys are harmful because these guys can't see themselves as actually joining, and don't grasp the complexity and seriousness of the topic. Turns the whole bloody, damned thing into a black and white thing, completely missing the point of explaining war. Makes this fuckin' Reddit War. To paraphrase Tolkien "The first war of the machines ended, and the machines won."

You're talking about the Fall of Civilizations Youtube channel, aren't you? I distinctly remember that bit from his video on the conquest of the Incan Empire, it was pretty annoying how he muddied up an otherwise excellently researched video with a bunch of Current Year whining about "Muh Natives," and "Muh Colonialism." He did the same thing with his Easter Island video.

Sure am and had the same problem with Easter Island. I also dislike his tendency in his Inca and Aztec videos to downplay the savagery. You can't really get a picture of the situation with out the culture shock of barbarity the Spaniards walked into and their outrage. You want me to feel bad for the guy who beheaded children sent to ask for peace? I don't care if it's 1 or 200, you should be able to say 'Fuck these guys' instead of implying the Spanish were 5d chess playing racists who exaggerated for the benefit of future racists.

I don't remember if I've watched his videos on the Aztecs or not, but in that one did he even mention that a big reason Cortez was able to conquer them in the first place was because all the surrounding tribes allied themselves with the Spanish in order ensure they didn't continue to be a source of human sacrifice rituals?

You'd think that a real or even casual historian, who's well-read enough to get a good idea of the kind of fucked-up shit humans have done to one another over the millennia, would be able to take an overall objective overview of the events as they happened without breaking down into sob takes about muh poor precious bodies of color hurt by the evul huwhites.

Anyway, to keep the focus on this thread's actual subject, I searched the Axis History Forum as suggested by @Fruttasecca and @WelperHelper99, and so far there's no sign of him posting there under any of the known aliases we have. However I did find one thread where they discussed one of his videos on the Tiger tank. (Archive)

Even they agree that Lazerpig is overall pretty obnoxious but believe he does at least do a good job on the video in question (and they also suspect that he is an AHF lurker).

Here's the video in question:
Compared to his T-14 Armata video or that video on French tanks @WelperHelper99 posted, it's certainly a lot more balanced and well put together, but it still suffers from a number of things. For one, it's way too fucking long, which certainly isn't helped by the nearly five minute long World of Tanks sponsor shout-out at the beginning of the video which is neither funny nor entertaining. And even if this is a more professional video (relative, given Lazerpig), I still had difficulty making it through the damn thing because his voice, narrative presentation, and just overall style is just so fucking grating. Even if I didn't know about the fucking femboy fetish or porn-infested Discord channel, I still wouldn't want to watch or subscribe to this guy's content.

Also, even on AHF, they think the Chieftain is a better presenter on the subject of tanks. Lol.

Yes, he actually goes deep into the politics of Meso-American society, the first 1.5 half hours are about the rise of Montezuma. But again, fumbles it at the end by down playing it was the Tlaxcalans who slaughtered Tenochtitlan for 3 days while the Spanish could only hole up. and being weepy over the loss of the Aztecs. Irritating presentation, still good info.

The Black Agnus video iirc
Correct, we even had a brief discussion about it over in the "Youtubers teetering on the edge of cowdom" thread 8 months ago. Probably the biggest red flag looking back from that was how blatantly he lied about the Farms claiming he was an American faking a Scottish accent when you could see from a 5 second search that he had been mentioned on here perhaps 10 times at that point and no one had said anything even remotely like that.

I did catch up on falcon's stand alone videos btw and I deem him... boring. He's just a groupie. If anything his videos are TOO short.

But back to the point. They talk about the vehicles and not their stories because thats where they got stuck at as teenagers, looking up IRL gun stats from CoD II Big Red One on the OG Xbox (fun game, just linear) and all their PC strategy games where the older players wooped their ass, they looked at the tanks and thought "why isn't my tiger horde winning?". That's where the autism began, and spiraled out of control.

The Tiger video is where he put in effort, sadly it's still a mess. There needs to be balance between the story of the tank, it's myths, and the big cat itself. Too much of the first two, not enough hard numbers on the specs. And yes, the length. Cut it to 25 minutes. There's enough hot useless air to do that.

I'll counterpoint that with the fact that people like Lazerpig and all the other milfag bloodsports types out there tend to focus far too much on those hard numbers and specs, and not enough on actual usage data. Sure, it's a bit less difficult to tell with modern Western tanks since they usually don't go up against peer adversaries (and no, the Gulf War was a curb-stomp for multiple different reasons), which is why LP and associated teaboos got such a serious reality check when one of their beloved "invincible" Challenger 2s got destroyed in Ukraine.

But for shit like World War II vehicles? Even accounting for propaganda claims, there is still a lot of information you can cross-reference to get a good idea of how the vehicles were used, and what they were actually good at, within the context of their armies (often in internal army reports, which weren't meant to be seen by the public). Because discussions about stats almost universally ignore that vehicles are designed to fit withing a much greater context than just playing Top Trumps with people online. Incidentally, that's something The_Chieftain consistently talks about: always judge a vehicle within its context, not against other vehicles. The problem with LP's video on the Tiger is that the story parts were honestly kinda just shit, and the myths were the most basic bitch deboonking session you'll ever see, alongside tangents that did fuck-all for the flow or informative value of the video.

I agree. You need a combination However. Giving a simple overview of the specs while SHOWING how it integrated into the greater context of the war, is how I would do it. How did the crews use the abilities of those vehicles to their fullest, or could they even? Were some of the specs only able to shine in a group? Or is it the crew that's only able to make the best of it? Showing I feel a video like that could kill the "my tank/jet/ship has a bigger gun and is faster than yours!" Debate, and push it back into the deepest depths of message boards.

"invincible" Challenger 2s got destroyed in Ukraine.
I saw a legitimate Sprey fan boy in the wild on a video of the Ukies driving Leopards directly into a mine field. "I thought RMA solved this.." or something. I was on my phone and didn't save it but it was like seeing a white stag in the wild.

Anyway, I think the Chieftan struck a really good tone with his soft rebuttal of Ian's video on the infamous Jadotsville Bren shot. Says Ian's correct about pretty much everything, but explains that correct doesn't really matter to soldiers and how the Irish loved firing Brens single shot. Then drops the absolute ancient head knowledge that No.4(T)s were battalion level at the time and there's no evidence a sniper was even present at the battle. So in the context of a choice between an off hand shot with a FAL or a bipod supported Bren, by troops who love the Bren more than they probably should, it becomes much more plausible.

Edit: Now that I think about it, we've been discussing that scene for like 5 years and the big history tuber who was in the Irish Army during the early 60s just now decided his opinion might be interesting? Could have saved us a lot of time.

I've mentioned this in other threads, but I have a strong suspicion that his Russia hate is entirely due to his identity as a homosexual and that country's/government's general distaste for that community and its activities.
He had a story about him dating a Russian soldier, even going over to visit him and throw grenades and shit.

Possibly got spurned by "the Russian Winter" and retreated in failure(?) leading to a little animosity (?) All speculation, of course...

Great thread, thank you OP and researchers

I have my own small but particular sperg with PhotonFag.

It starts with this exceptional claim in his second Russo-Ukraine video:

Really? Russian precision guided munitions rely on GPS? They don't use GLONASS? So close to Russia? Imagine what a common comment was:
1695133850615.png

Even this guy is asking for sources a year ago.
Another brilliant example:
1695133938750.png

The current GLONASS satellites are a post Soviet development. The original Soviet ones had a life span of 3 to 5 years according to Wikipedia.

PhotonFag's claims to have a response in the comments in his Q&A and Sea of Thieves Rant video, in the most smug way possible:

I checked. Their isn't, not for several thousand comments and YouTube has a habit of putting creator comments up top, I don't even see a response bubble. If he wanted to honestly correct himself or add context it would be pinned. If someone knows a good scraper and exporter please let me know.

But this is not the end, for in the NAFO round table episode 0 he, with even greater smugness, makes this claim:

Huh, three satellites? And it's only an algorithm on your phone that uses different math? What?

Now, let us go to Wikipedia and find where "3" or "three" show up on the page for GLONASS as it was no doubt the source for this drunken slouches' claim:
1695162043162.png
Now, 3 shows up many times in the article, but the only time by itself is this and wow, it's a breakdown of the signal packets.
Not the size of the array, which has 24 active satellites as of right now. Something that faggot Aussie found in a solid ten seconds of searching on that podcast.

The level of bull is amazing.
First, getting basic research wrong in the first place.
Second, refusing to admit he was wrong.
Third, lying about a response comment that the people complaining totally can't be bothered to find even though it doesn't exist.
Finally, needing to cope so hard that he ran to Wikipedia, or some ten year old blog article, to find anything to back up his bull and misread the first thing he found.

a noob that's getting wrecked by the stick welder he bought at Harbor Freight
I feel personally attacked, stabbed, gutted, and defenestrated

Here's a glonass satellite btw

Pretty sure they've moved on to a newer gen now. Not as wide a net as GPS, less satellites, but more than enough to get a bomb generally on target, better than dive bombing and dying instantly anyway. Pig is saying they only have 3 of these and use a algorithm for the rest. Nigga what? Hell China has their own network. The Russians USED GPS, but didn't RELY on it, they knew it might get shut off someday
I feel personally attacked, stabbed, gutted, and defenestrated
Brother that's nigger tier. Miller is top, Lincon is mid, ESAB is ok, harbor freight is dogshit. I'm a welder and will call the nog-boxes out lol.

But this is not the end, for in the NAFO round table episode 0 he, with even greater smugness, makes this claim:
Jesus, what is with that 'taking a massive shit' inflection? Anyway, pig is confusing the terms GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and GPS. GPS is a specific satellite system ran by the US Gov't. GLONASS is it's own system. And "It's just an algorithm on your phone". Yes? All GNSS on the user end is an algorithm that converts distance from satellites and on the ground receivers to a location.
