I know when I was a little kid I wanted to get tattoos desperately, then when I was older I didn't want one but found them interesting, now I think almost always they look like shit but there are rare exceptions. Nick sends his kids to a cooperative for homeschooling. It is much less on Kayla and Nick to plan and organise. Depending on the requirements of the state, they might not have a very high bar for academics. The most determinative factor is always the parents.

I have known people on both sides of the quality spectrum. There are those who are very good about keeping their kids on track, and spend 4-5 hour on teaching, and fill the rest of the time with play and extracurriculars. There are also those who spend 20-30 minutes a day on reciting the alphabet and a page or two of workbook that they can get the brat to do before they pitch a fit, then hand them an iPad.

Most fall somewhere in the middle, but the parents' commitment is always the most important factor in if the kids are healthy and well-adjusted.
