The NOAA literally mentions this as the very first thing on the "can they be stopped" section of their F.A.Q. about hurricanes. It's a valid thing to ask given the issues involved despite how silly it is and was floated around as soon as nukes became a thing.

The Tl;Dr is that no one is sure and no one, even back in the late 1940's and early 50's, wanted to try at all. Even if we ignore radiation concerns completly, such a detonation could possibly just make things worse. The storm would likely be dispersed by the sudden pressure, wind and heat sure but because of how weather works you have just set the stage for a worse event later.
