In a way, the 1996 movie, Crash, was oddly prescient in its warning of what happens when psychologically-damaged people get bored and look for an outlet for their self-destructive impulses.You understand my point entirely! When the Crash about social injustice came out, I did a lot of eavesdropping, perking up and then sad realization.
If someone sat David Cronenberg down and showed him this Pooner thread, he'd start nodding and taking notes. (He doesn't need to see the SRS Disasters thread; he's basically covered that already.)
The various medical transitioning and troon/pooner threads that we have on Kiwi Farms are a real-life example of the former, only they are seeking thrills through dangerous elective surgery instead of personally reenacting infamous automobile accidents. To drive the point home even further, one of the automobile accident reenactors in Crash (1996) is an AGP troon.
