There's a huge misconception in other states that California is overwhelming liberal. The most populated cities in the state such as San Francisco, Los Angeles and Sacramento are mostly liberal, but outside of those cities, most CA residents are moderate to conservative. California is a big state and outside of its few mega cities, it's mostly rural. I've even noticed a shift in attitude in cities regarding troons specifically. A few years ago, most people were supportive, but only because they thought troons and homos were two sides of the same coin. Once troons started coming after kids and self identifying into women's prisons, even a lot of lefties in the state started to balk. Newsom has presidential aspirations... he knows he needs to slowly dial back his support of the tranny agenda if he wants to win the Democratic nomination in 2028. Blue states outside of both coasts don't really give a fuck about trannies, and he can see the pendulum starting to swing; he knows his opponents are going to come after him for shit like allowing men to be incarcerated with women and declaring CA a sanctuary state for trans kids and their families fleeing states like Florida and Texas. Not to mention how mealy mouthed he's been about the California Reparations Task Force when even most libs in the state strongly oppose it. He's trying to figure out how not to alienate hardcore libs while courting moderate voters. The next 4 years should be interesting.

Well, while the Renaissance did start very roughly around 1300 in Florence, it’s really best seen as the bridge between the Middle Ages and the early modern period. The reign of Elizabeth I is at the very tail end of the Renaissance but deserves to be considered part of it; Shakespeare outlived Elizabeth but is certainly a Renaissance figure. By the Glorious Revolution it was definitely over. It’s worth remembering as well that England was still a second-rate power and relatively backward during this period, arguably the Renaissance was over elsewhere in Europe when it was at its height in England.
