My personal knowledge of it comes second-hand from felons I've known and they've said safes etc. don't make a difference. You could steal the key, or learn the combination. A cursory Google search says the same thing, but then I saw a few results saying felons can own them when they're off probation. It depends. If you were convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence, you cannot possess a firearm under federal law. Beyond this exclusion, getting your gun rights restored is possible, but not absolute.

It's always good to know the floor plan of a house, where the guns are, the drugs, the types of dogs one might encounter, a good look at the locks they have and where the cash and Ben & Jerry's are before planning a robbery.

The biggest risk of theft in that house is BMJ himself. I’m sure his parent have devised an array of anti-BMJ theft deterrent systems over the years, probably some of the neighbors too.

All I know is I would never risk it, because I don't have that kind of money for lawyers. Even though I'm a welder, and I could fucking build a safe made of half inch plate and a custom lock, if I'm in the same home with a felon, the cost of the materials for the safe alone is ridiculous, and then if the DA and cops get involved, I'm broke. Clearly his parents must feel they could handle a lawsuit, or they're just retarded
