Incidentally the original common law definition of burglary included that it was at night. It isn't strictly speaking relevant where common law has been explicitly abrogated by statute, but it's definitely relevant to a jury. If someone is intruding on your property at night and you shoot them, you're much more likely to have a self-defense argument or even not be charged with anything.
