I guess he's said something along those lines more times than I remembered, because I remember him specifically talking about the slough around his property, and how a body could be hidden in it. He's definitely said the exact opposite of last night in a myriad of different ways.

The same thing goes with the "building is publicly accessible" thing: there is a whole legal concept of "curtilage" that does not require something to be enclosed or marked (and is relatively vague in its precise meaning), where in certain instances a publicly accessible space near your property can be considered your private space. The list goes on and on.

It's funny that you say this, because not only should he understand this implicitly, it was his entire game plan during the Vic Lasagna saga.
