A year ago when I still watched Branca occasionally, he was shilling that one of the perks of his top tier membership was that his outfit would consult on your self-defense case free of charge if you ever found yourself in that situation.

I suppose it's a "rubber hits the road" situation to find out if he's true to his word if it ever were to happen. And you would still have to hire a first chair because Branca would only be a consultant.

But presumably in the present Branca would consider himself a practicing lawyer if he promised the moon to move memberships with the remote-but-possible scenario where someone would cash in their chit.

I guess what I am trying to say is that Branca is selling a product now. He’s like a Doctor who goes from practicing medicine to selling exercise gear or chairs that help mitigate damage from sitting down all day.

He still has to do continued eds and do other shit to maintain his license, but he’s transitioning away from being an active partner into letting his business run itself so he can call Chrisie Mayer a whore and her husband a simp on the Internet.

The whole 'you have to be the owner to be able to accuse someone of trespassing and stop them' is just absurd. So all the strip malls, or countless places of business that lease the space, can't kick someone out for trespassing without calling the owner of the building first? Who believes this?

I do not have a background in law but I regularly have to instruct staff to call the police and have bums trespassed. I know that in Chicago, at least, the police will trespass someone who is behaving erratically inside of a property, but not anywhere outside of the place of business unless the actual property owner calls it in. I can also tell you that the police can and do regularly ignore requests for an officer if the dispatch operator doesn't think it's important enough, so even technically illegal activity does not translate into the cops showing up. This is why you have a right to own a gun.

It was heavily marketed to people that just want to dabble or figure out if law is for them. The lawtube space has a lot of boomers that would probably pay for it. Also the class of Steven Gosney might actually be worth it since he is super experienced public defender and actually teaches criminal and criminal procedure law on there.
I am also pretty sure the constitutional law class is/was taught by an actual professor.
