Mainstream cred comes with stipulations (like not being recorded saying "at this point if a bunch of red neck militias wanna mow down dipshit protestors who are burning down shit at 12 am, then at this point they have my fucking blessing" - based take from him regarding the blm rioting that got him departnered from twitch, that Vaush signal boosted btw) and having a media protection racket that keeps your image safe (I.e. making sure that certain stories and narratives about yourself never see the light of day in order to stay "squeaky clean"). And I dunno if our little sperg would be able to avoid the deluge of accusations by left leaning outlets who would start to look into him if he did break into the "mainstream" (he got that fucking mayor he canvassed in omaha loose the race because people started to look into Destiny and found some choice clips of him saying the N word or some shit and that caused the progs in the town to completely disregard him and call his canvassers harassers)If I had to guess, he is basically willing to swallow his pride to get funding for his canvassing shit. Which, to be fair, he deserves because he has fronted a lot of money himself in the past for it. If that means putting up with people he hates, he's still willing to do it to get more mainstream credit for his real-life activism.
At best he'll stay where he is on his own side of the streaming world surrounded by the highly liberal/progressive audience he's managed to cultivate while still attempting to follow the strategy he has been doing for the last couple of years of attempting to enter right wing spaces in order to "de-convert" members of their audience to see things his way, just expect a slightly higher uptick of him live streaming canvassing shit in more areas as we get closer to the election.
It's hard to predict where all this shit will go in the next year or so, but I'm gonna guess that if it gets more and more likely that another Trump ticket is in-evitable for the republican party and he becomes the nominee again, Destiny will drop all of his "issues" with other lefty streamers like Vaush he's had in the past in order to form whatever gay ass "United Online Progressive Coalition" to fight against the encroaching "Facist takeover" another Trump presidency would bring in his eyes.
If that happens, I'd bet good money that it would catastrophically fall apart the moment they decide to stop playing nice and accuse each other of "bad optics" or "shit strategies" for trying to get their movement mobilised in the face of a general audience (I.e. Destiny might shit talk Vaush for saying that "The current Maga base is no different from the rising Nazi party in the 1930s and are gonna genocide trans people" and Vaush would shit talk Destiny for attempting "to appease Nazis" by going on right wing platforms and shows to engage with them directly and agree on some of their points instead of just insulting and shit talking them behind his camera at home like a faggot).
Nothing like an election season to make these political streamimg dipshits to totally forget all their "moral stances" and hatred against each other to "work together for the greater good", making it clear to anyone with more than two brain cells that the beef between them was never about "principles" and simply their overinflated egos.
