Couldn't agree more with both of you. An edged weapon that close to you means either make space damn quick or put something between you and your opponent(s) before you draw your pistol (if you have one). Even then, if you can run, I think that's a far better option.

The groin and throat are good targets but you might be surprised at how little a strike to them will debilitate an opponent. If you go for this in a fight and land one, I highly recommend you immediately follow that up with something else.

The time it takes a trained person to pull a concealed carry aim and fire is not as fast as someone who has a knife out lunging at you from 20 feet, this has been proven time and time again and is self defene 101.

If someone pulls a knife in you? Disengage immediately then pull out your sidearm and shoot.

Groin kicks and fucking kung fu suit jacket moves are just going to get you killed.

The bench killed that guy as much as the nigger, most cracked out people don't want to actively chase someone they will also use it as an excuse to continue on their merry way, remember it was the white man who initiated the whole scenario.

Folks, yes you need to teach your sons how to fight and defend themselves. But you notice he didn't attack the woman. Teach your daughters critical first aid skills. It is something they can do instead of standing around feeling helpless. It is possible he might have survived had she known what to do.

It's always wild to me watching these city dwellers and their complete lack of awareness; you literally live in the shithole that is used for every cop show ever, because so many fucking people get murdered in your environment.
