Even with it he should have the most gains in the first year due to simply having more to lose, but he is still massively fat. I do wonder if it would have helped if he would have worked out and at least converted some of the fat to muscle.

My gaydar goes off every time Babish brings a guest or friend over. It's somewhat normal for a guys friend group to be mostly male in his later 20s or early 30s but Babish is pushing 40 and all his friends are males or male couples.

I believe their is a 25% chance Babish will Troon out.
As to his grifting with his knife set, not even once.

While I am sure the knives are decent, I could probably get the same quality from Costco. In fact, I would believe someone if they told me that Babish's knives were made in the same factory Cutco knives were manufactured.

Fuck that. If someone wants quality just go to a Williams Sonoma or Crate and Barrel.

When I moved into my much better and bigger apartment after spending a year in such a small hovel, I invested money into my own knife and pots/pans set since nearly everything I was using in my kitchen were hand me downs from my in laws (And no, not good ones either, in fact I lost one of my favorite retro-glass pots a few years back and I still haven't quite recovered from that). I went with the Walmart "Thyme and Table" brand after some minimal researching, and because I liked how they looked. I was also lucky as hell to get them at a discounted cost at the time as well.

And guess what, after about a year now, everything I bought is still holding up rather well. No warping in the pots or pans so far (which is really great, considering they're non-stick), and my knives are still beautiful since I wash, dry, and put them away when I'm finished with them. The biggest thing about Babish's "basic set" is exactly what you said, he most likely gets his wares manufactured at the same places that Walmart, Target, or Costco get their own manufactured products from. Hell, if you understand how to properly care for your kitchen wares, you can make some really cheap shit last as long and as well as professional-grade materials. Obviously, Babish isn't going to tell this to his viewers, because even he himself is one of those faggots who thinks in order to "be at your best at home" then you need the "absolute right materials", which means shelling out over $200 on a stainless steel pan set, or $50 on a 12-in cast iron pan. Seriously, who the fuck is shelling out that much money for cast iron, unless it's a Le Crueset? Even Lodge's own dutch oven is about $20 cheaper than Babish's dutch oven.

The only thing I can possibly see myself even buying from his brand is one of his woks, but even from looking through the reviews the amount of quality Babish is putting into these products is being completely wasted, because again, the very people buying his shit are not "chefs", they're home cooks. It's breaking my heart seeing so many of these pans get absolutely destroyed with rust in Amazon reviews because these people have no clue how to work with stainless steel, carbon steel, or cast iron.

As a camera geek, I can see parallels.

I have a Nikon D850 with the holy Trinity of Prime lens along with a Tamron 500mm. My advice to those interested in buying a DSLR or mirror-less is first to ask them what they plan to do with it.

If they love photography and have money to burn fine, go with the flagship models and prime lens. But if it's 95% of photography that we see today, it's not needed.

They are not displaying their photos on anything bigger than a tablet, the people that view them are not going to care about a little less resolution, they are not using off camera flash for a nice light, nor are they doing sports photography or anything that requires a fast lens.

You wanna catch a bald eagle from across the canyon feeding their young? The dirt and dew coming off of a soccer ball as a soccer league runs across the pitch? Shooting against the sun and want just the right lighting / shadow combo on the subject.

For that I have a few expensive recommendations for anything else your smartphone camera will work just fine.

Besides the fact that they upgraded the image years and years ago (before my time) to make her look semi-modern and not like a "mammy", no one knows who the hell the "real" Aunt Jemima is/was anyway. There are at least two plausible cases of who she was, one in Texas and one in upstate New York.

He honestly is a terrible cook and most of the recipes he has suck. As a baker he’s mostly fine. I’ve tried his recipes with a chef friend and most of his gourmet bullshit really isn’t needed.
