Even Chomsky was wrong but in a productive way. The arguments are too nuanced to be detailed here but slowly yet surely all of his "rules" have been shown to be violated and he kept reformulating his stuff to a more and more unfalsifiable state, until basically his definition of a language became a tautology, now all the field of linguistics is waiting for Chomsky to become a good communist so more productive work can be done.

Thats not a hoax, that's chink performance artist Zhu Yu. The fetus was aquired illegally from a medical waste facility and was pickled in formaldehyde, he talked about having to vomit repeatedly while shooting this piece because the taste and smell were horrific. No mentions on if the baby-eating perturbed him, though, it's probably part of china man culture.

Chomsky should get more credit for debunking the whole "Sign-language gorilla" error that was popular a few decades ago, pointing out it would be exactly like finding a new type of bird that didn't fly until humans taught it to, although it was physically able to do so. I suspect he'll be quietly dropped some time around the middle of this century.
