I generally had a fairly positive opinion of most of these people at the time. Being deliberately transgressive and actually being amused by shocking the straights is markedly different than defiling society and insisting the straights not just not be shocked by your degenerate bullshit, but must actively participate in your delusion and pretend you're normal.

The first is being an irl troll of sorts, and casting societal norms into question. Societal norms should be open to question.

The second is an authoritarian, and even fascist attempt to use the power of the state to enforce conformity with what you now declare to be new norms (despite your postmodern tenets supposedly being that objective reality and norms are fake anyway).

I was referring to before the encouragement of the mutilation. Before the AGP troons took over they were able to get therapy to deal with the mental illness that is gender dysphoria. Now they are encouraged to commit suicide because everyone is afraid of a fucking troon yelling you didn't feed the delusions rather than break it and destroying your career.

A lot of the critical comments don't have anything to do with troons or genderism directly but are addressing things like animal abuse and property destruction. Those are gender-agnostic issues that even other trans social media users have called out. This isn't to say that they couldn't be massaging the comments for some ulterior motive.

Seven years is a century in Internet time. I think the more likely explanation is that the culture has changed since then. People are getting tired of this stunning, brave trans shit and are realizing that it's a bunch of men in dresses doing man shit like raping field serfs and larping with guns. I have to agree with you for the most post, but a part of me thinks that there are ulterior motives. I think Vice has been given ammunition and can construe the reactions however they see fit. Even if a comment as benign as "you are bad at farming and your alpacas are dead", can be added to their overall narrative. Something that is less about the individual comments, and more about the sum of them. But it's all unfounded speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.

In my opinion. You would be surprised how relevant the echos of the 2016 ghostbusters still are. It's less about the content of the movie, but rather the marketing practice that it used.
