I think Vox/sad puppies etc are dumb in the same vein as SJW, but the book that won is bad.
Legitimately, there is a reason the author has to beg on patreon. And most likely won because of both the circle jerk of the Hugos and Vox screwing up the nominations.

In the name of social justice, women are now required to believe that the burka is an empowering, cultural choice for women rather than an oppressive, outmoded form of dress strongly rooted in patriarchal religion.

In the 17th and 18th century, the Mughal and British empires stamped out the Hindu tradition of wives being forced to throw themselves on their husbands' funeral pyres. I swear if that custom had survived to the 20th century, today SJWs would be arguing that to prevent women being literally burned alive would be an oppressive, colonial act.

(yes, totally off topic I know. But, jesus fucking wept.)

If you ask her, the answer is racism and misogyny.

Never mind that she is a bellowing racist and misandrist herself.

She has called for what she ignorantly refers to as a "Truth in [sic] Reconciliation Commission" in the science fiction community. Basically, white people -- and probably a few Asians, if they have money -- need to apologize to her and give her money.

She's also on record as stating that political tolerance "disturbs" her when it is accorded to people who disagree with her. Who'd a thunk it?

She's quite a piece of work.

Awards are the new participation trophies in some of these industries. It's a way for people who's products don't sell and are not in demand to feel important. Zoe Quinn is an "award-winner" despite her crappy game not making money.

It's created this funny reality where the "award-winners" are begging for internet welfare and the non award-winners are raking in cash.

I skimmed her Patreon, and she says she doesn't want to leave new york for cheaper rent because she makes so many connections for her writing career there-- except the connections don't support the rent that it takes to have the connections so...

Well whatever at least she's giving out content for her insane 5k a month. More than most of them even attempt to do.

I actually have to give Islams props on this one. They actually managed to make idiot third wave feminists submit willingly to the patriarchy in order to get back at white men or something equally stupid.

Third-wave feminists probably think all women should be required to wear burkas in order to avoid being eye-raped by the patriarchy on a daily basis. As an added benefit, this policy would help to conceal from the world the sad truth that third-wave feminists did not end up as such because they rejected careers as fashion models and movie actresses. Burkas that feature slimming stripes would also help.
