Im not so sure. This time seems a bit different. People over there are honestly calling it "israel 9/11". Whether or not that's a literal overstatement (only 200-300 confirmed dead so far that we know, as opposed to thousands dead in 9.11), its deff. a psychological position. Human nature is to want revenge, and the hamas just gave Bibi the most national support hes had in a long while. Hes not going to waste it by soothing things over in 3 days. Very well could go on for a month or two, and thats being optimistic (and depends entirely on what Israel announces as its goals going forward i.e complete disarming/destruction of hamas vs securing border/pushing out hamas).

Thats not even considering if other players enter the arena. If that happens, all bets are off.
