Honestly at this stage, I think Staph's whole "I
need Bottom Surgery! Pls help!" thing is more complaining about the fact she isn't center of attention in her life right now, and additionally has hurdles in the way actually getting any operation (weight, hormone levels, money, etc). These things
could be managed if she was dedicated enough.
Say, hypothetically, she was given all the money she needed for the operation overnight, she'd likely misuse those funds seeing as there'll be additional things likely preventing even a dodgy doctor from carrying out such a procedure.
We all remember the time Staph was granted a substantial amount of money to create some sort of trans organization. To my knowledge she did 1 livestream related to it and went right back to her usual stuff. No word about the money ever since.
If some organizations out there literally throw money at trans people, they must have a lot of it. I'm sure there's a lot of financial help you can get literally just for the surgeries providing you intend to carry it out.
A lot of people will donate to this sort of thing because they have lots of expendable income and, much like Stephanie, their lives often revolve around the weird world of trans communities, lacking any perspective of other people's struggles. But unlike her, they are at least donating money to others, you could make the argument that it is at least a little more philanthropic than anything Staph has ever done.
I'm probably preaching to the choir here. But a surgery is not what she needs. In fact it would mess things up way more than help. The amount of complications and side effects that arise with any of this sort of thing could very well give something for her to
really be downtrodden and upset about. It's no joke.
She needs to change her environment and lifestyle in order to be physically and mentally more healthy. She has proven she can't commit to anything that requires even the slightest amount of effort. Her weight loss bit was hilarious, walking a whopping 2 miles and grabbing some fast food to recover from such an ordeal. Again, she lacks perspective and any real sympathy for other people, in the sense that her world revolves entirely around her, Staph is the main character and indeed the most oppressed and hard done in life. Introspection be damned!
Even if people do manage to read the sign, the majority of people's knowledge of Leif Erikson is probably the two second bit where SpongeBob SquarePants puts on a viking hat and sings some nonsense. Beyond that, nobody knows. Or cares.
Speaking of standing by a busy highway, if you want money, Staph, the opportunity is right there! Go back to grifting school and con people the proper way.

previous attempt trying to pronounce Norse languages.
As for her little protest. For some reason I doubt even anyone commuting to work on a Monday will even care enough that some tubby woman is standing on a sidewalk waving around a hard to read sign whilst dressed like Frodo Baggins. She'll claim it a great victory even if absolutely nothing happens though.
