In a move that surprised no one, socialist YouTuber Second Thought declares that Israeli civilians being kidnapped and massacred are colonisers and therefore deserved it. Good to know that internet ‘leftists' are still very “tolerant” people, I wonder what they’ll say about white Americans or Europeans who they keep referring to as colonisers have the same thing done to them by “”freedom fighters”” from certain minority groups they deem to be "“”oppressed”””. I mean they are westerners themselves after all they are just LARPing so maybe they wouldn’t be so keen on that happening on their door step...

FYI I am not defending Israel or the IDF but it is a confirmed fact that Hamas killed and kidnapped hundreds of noncombatants and are holding them hostage, including women and children. And it should be pretty obvious why the far-left are throwing their support behind them, abandoning any sense of morality they would normally preach.

So sick of these fuckheads saying "oh yeah if Native Americans decided to one day slaughter every one of us filthy colonizers I'd be the first to volunteer for the gallows!". You know they'd be the most hysterical ones, fastest to hide behind the armed forces and police they so love to demonize. These people are infuriating.

There’s something about the way this story was written in the press that reminded me of the ‘Iraqis pulling babies out of incubators’ thing.
The media lies so much that what is very possibly a true (and if true, an horrific) story results in scepticism. I hate how cynical the press has made us all.

Maybe you're trying to be edgy. But if you're not the thing you're looking for is empathy. The ability to envision yourself feeling the same as another person. Psychopaths and sociopaths or autists are lacking that. Or you could be conditioned against it. And you might be desensitized by years of gore on the internet.

Generally certain situations trigger the most primal reactions in humans like for example the horrified screaming of a female.

What has happened and is happening is horrible, not denying that by any means. What concerns me is that the public's empathy can be used by sociopathic governments to further their ends at our expense. The media will hype up the "bad guy of the week" as being uniquely evil, like they've done for hundreds of years, and the public will go along. Imo its best to be personally repulsed and politically apathetic when these things occur.
