There's actually been studies on this and women are more likely to have fluid sexual attraction compared to men. Researchers don't know why, Some of them think it's a left over trait from the polygynous relationships of apes in order to have sex with their cowives to reduce tension.
I've been in a similar situation and it's absolutely true. Between men, I've noticed it can be less of a thing or maybe inspire some healthy competition, but it doesn't seem to work out between the sexes. While both sexes require validation, the way that women need to be validated is much more external and it's hard for them not to be featured in the center of the relationship. So if you throw the same hobby in the mix, you're gonna deal with that in spades. Keeping the hobby somewhat private and more passion-driven means there is no recognition, no praise, no celebrity. It means that all of that hard work and potential is being "wasted" because it's not being capitalized on. Definitely avoid falling down that rabbit hole if you can.
Of all the men I know that have fucked around with guys, I've never seen it done out of spite against a woman or to uplift other men. It was only done because it sounded like fun and they wanted to do it. Men are too motivated by personal desire to fall for that. You can't even get consistent results trying to bully blue-pilled gays into fucking pooners. It just goes to show that sex is too simple for men to treat like a bartering chip or (usually) a political tool. Maybe it's because I haven't been exposed to it, but I find that hard to believe. It just makes me think of that MadTV skit where two roommates hatch a scheme to pretend to be gay to attract fag hags and fuck them but it's really just a long ruse for one roommate to seduce the other.
Funny enough, this is exactly what most dudes will tell you to do if you want to get better. Be it your instrument, something like fighting games, lifting etc. If you want to improve, you need to eventually do that thing with someone who's better or more advanced than you are. Not even out of competition necessarily, but just as a way to see the areas where you're lacking and could make positive adjustments. And sure, that's pretty general advice that anyone can give but I definitely see it said by men more often. Guys generally seem much more invested in bringing other people up to their own level, or to a level they think a person could/should be. And maybe there's a deeper aspect of wanting to breed your own competition out of it, because it would spur you to become better as a result, but youre doing so by making someone else better instead of taking them down. It's like the old Zyzz meme. "We're all gonna make it brah".
