This is a minor point, but I genuinely can't believe this fat faggot bought ANOTHER pinball machine.

How much money would he be spending on this kind of thing? Like Jim has been quite public about his complete inability to be in any frugal or considerate with his money but I just want to get a ballpark estimate on how much of his shrinking patreon bux are being spent on vintage pinball machines.

Just to be exceedingly clear, this has nothing to do with gambling - As far as I know, pinball machines don't have anything gambling like in them with payouts or the like.

This has to do more with the fact that Jim's got a long and involved history of lamenting wealthy leaders wasting large sums of money on dumb bullshit while destabilizing the lives of the people under them to finance it. Only to turn around with the various crap we've seen outta how he runs his business, in which he treats his colleges poorly, strings folks along, provides mediocre pay while taking home a huge payout himself, and throwing said people to the wolves as soon as its easier to do so than to deal with them. This isn't a mere "But you participate in society, hmm?" thing, and more that Jim is actively living the specific bullshit he rails against, when its convenient to him and his.

I imagine that Justin probably was up to some chicanery and Jim was too dumb to notice, but it is kind of funny how Jim himself stumbled into being a boss, an owner of capital even, who has been accused of exploiting and mistreating his employee and then leaving them high and dry with nothing to fall back on. And then he tried to play to his audience's preconceptions by framing Justin's potential misdeeds (which are still up in the air) as 'abuse' and not just regular con artistry with a subsequent furious reaction.

Probably could have been avoided if he just edited his videos himself!

I don't have any sympathy for devs who get laid off because usually they deserve it. Stop making shitty games or turning your franchises woke and you will get to keep your jobs, simple as.

I like this idea in which the people who have jobs so tenuous and ephemeral that they can get fired at a moments notice also have the ability to choose how the game comes out or inject their politics in it.

There's legitimate scientific grounds for that. Fat tissue isn't just idle storage, its hormonal signaling tissue too. One of the reasons morbid obesity fucks with people so badly is their brain is absolutely flooded with levels of various hormones that we were never adapted to be under for long periods of time. It was years ago now but I'm sure at one point he admitted to paying north of $400 for an 'antique' Boglin so you might be right, but then again I've no idea what she did for a living so it was probably still in her best interests to stay hitched to that literal cash cow.

In the Constantine movie with Keanu Reeves, they try to make Gabriel androgynous by having Tilda in kind of a butch haircut and calling her character a dude, but it was clearly a woman. The only thing that threw me was I thought it was Cate Blanchett until at some other point I realized the voice was slightly off.

I was watching this Skillup video and I noticed that in his weekly news show he actually talks a lot about various labour issues in the industry (ie, here he touches on union creation and layoffs with subsequent conflicts in companies like CDPR and Bioware).
