They want to take their time preparing the ground invasion while waiting for supplies in gaza to run out. They're also killing key people and destroying weapons depots so that resistance is minimized when they come in.

i think it is a combination of getting their military ready and also waiting on the go ahead form the civ govt.
  • invading gaza isnt a small task for any military; and as was shown in the initial hamas attack, the idf wasn't really in a huge state of readiness to begin with. so it takes time to get all the soldiers, tanks, trucks, artillery, and supplies built up a the front. you also must make sure your soldiers know what their part of the plan is, where they need to go, what their objective is,etc. his takes time.
  • a post or two in this thread had quotes from the IDF saying they were currently waiting on the go head form the civilian side of the government. as far as i know they haven't gotten that yet. not sure why the civ side wouldn't say go already but this would hold them up.

Considering they are almost on the verge of a civil war over the fact a large swath of France is a Muslim shit hole and half their population hates the government because of it and other valid reasons. Probably a smart move to crack down on it.

Why rush it? Why not make sure everything is in place and there are no further disturbances anywhere just in case?

What annoys me is how overkill the Israeli propaganda is. The concept of "babies being killed" is already horrible enough and true. You don't need to lie on top of that for people to fell sorry for you. People are already are in your side when you talk about "babies being killed". Creating bullshit AI images about how the babies were killed does not help you.

One of my friends was living in France several years ago when the bus drivers went on strike. He complained about it to a local friend because of the inconvenience and the French local said “yeah but we are French and it’s what we do. I know it’s an inconvenience for me to have to walk but it’s their right to strike and protest to let the government know they are unhappy.” That’s the general sentiment in most of France. So for them to suddenly make a 360 and say no protesting - it’s a big deal.
