The issue is why didn't they.The Deir Yassin massacre happened on April 9th 1948, the consequences of that spergout led to the creation of the more moderate IDF on May 26th 1948 precisely because they disapproved of the spergout that the Irgun and Lehi had. Once the IDF was founded, they restrained the more extreme lehi and irgun fighters. The majority of Palestinian depopulation was spurred by Arabs telling palestinians to leave and come back when the jews were defeated.

Why would I make the distinction between immigrants who came then left, as opposed to those who literally founded the state and bled for it with each subsequent generation? Think about it.
