Not really surprising given how shitty and rare mangrove swamps are

Based on the pattern of Mojang, the wolf armour will be a single tier, will probably just be a helmet, will not have enchantments, and will be the only wolf armour ever added, and getting the items for it will take an eternity because killing the mob will have no drops because killing bad.

Don't forget no dyeing and no trims for it as well most likely. This is assuming the armor is even going to be an item. They may just make it so that you directly apply the plate to a dog to give it armor instead of crafting them into dog armor. Given that they called it scute I'm going to guess that armadillos are going to "shed" one of them (chance-based, one-two drops at a time max) when they curl up.

And also a new data pack config that controls dog armor, its stats and some other bullshit no one cares about.

like clockwork. This worked exactly like Microsoft planned.

Armadillo won btw.
Keep in mind that liberals are defined by having goals, not moral values. As such, they don't care that they're hypocrites; they revel in it. They'll lie, cheat, steal, and loudly encourage all of the aforementioned and worse in the name of getting what they want. To them, the potential ends always justify the means that may or may not get them there.

I say this because there's a non-zero chance that nu-Mojang rigged the poll from the start to add what they wanted to add. It's not the people who vote that count, but the people who count the votes.

Edit: many of the comments here raise more good points, EG "...the way they just announced the winner then moved on without any celebration or anything, just felt odd." "Show us the amount of votes for each mob. While I don’t mind having the armadillo, I have NEVER seen anyone who voted for it." (Just an anecdote, but same tbqfh.)

Wow, that was worse than I was expecting. Might be even worse than Trails and Mids' reveal.

Most of it was ads, of course. Who the hell is playing Minecraft Legends or playing with Minecraft Lego who isn't five years old. Also, why do they have a "Chief Storyteller", Minecraft has no fucking story. Just further proof of Mojang's complete bloat.

The "Trial Chambers" look absolutely useless. The Blaze reskin is the laziest hostile mob yet. "The Crafter" is functionality that could've been added to the crafting table.
The jerking off of the decorative blocks in the "Trial Chambers" amused me too. Instead of fixing the inventory problem they're just going to make it even worse by adding even more shit to clog the inventory with.

The Trial chamber things are going to be the exact same as the Warden in the end. The players will completely ignore the linear layout of them and just strip mine them all away, leaving just the spawners. Then they will use water and stuff to move AFK players around (more players = more efficient and better rewards, like they said) to activate the spawners and then the mobs will drop and be auto killed, then the spawners will shoot out diamonds and emeralds and it will be an AFK diamond farm. Following this Mojang is going to completely gimp it hard after the first snapshot and then in the end the rewards will be meaningless garbage and nobody will ever even touch the Trials at all because there is no reason to do them.

This happened with the Warden, this happened with Raids, this happened with Bastion ruins, this happened to the cave ore gen overhaul, its going to happen again, because Mojang will never learn that adding linear activities to a game that only autistic metaslaves play is never going to end in the way they want.

I don't really care about the mob vote but it was incredibly entertaining to see all the coping and seething for a silly block game, the best one since the glow squid voting, I guess it was only expected since this time there are actually interesting features on the line, unlike the 2021 and 2022 ones that were extremely mild and boring

I want to get off Mr. Bones Wild Ride.

Unhand that macaw you abomination :(

Technoblade's dad is going to be learning about Dream SMP lore, disappointing to see a dead YouTuber get milked
There have been a lot of channels and twitter profiles made to milk Techno after his death, but the fact that this one comes from his own father makes it a lot more uncomfortable. Why is he doing this? Does he actually want to learn Minecraft or is it just for the money?

At the start of the 5 minutes of actual info they said they had talented devs working on a system to let them produce content better and faster, and to the pessimist in me that sounds like they are outsourcing tools or engine work to another company. Microsoft isn't a stranger to abusing outsourcing, Halo Infinite is entirely outsourced and after all the outsource contractors left nobody was left that understood the codebase at all so the game was a broken mess. I am concerned this might be happening again, and that the programmers at Mojang are just incapable of optimizing the game and have resorted to outsourcing the work, and the end result will most likely be another Halo Infinite, considering Microsoft's track record.

Mojang rewrote the entire codebase multiple times (1.3, 1.8 and 1.13) when it became too difficult to work with. They're not afraid of rewriting their game when it's necessary.
They're probably lying about "better and faster" just to make the community hyped about 1.21 and subsequent patches.

But are the people that were actually responsible for those re-writes still working at Mojang or is it all just diversity hires now?

I didn't knew these versions were major code rewrites, but now that you've said it it made me realize something.

What were the versions where the codebase was rewritten? 1.3.1, 1.8 and 1.13.
What are the three most popular modding versions? 1.2.5, 1.7.10 and 1.12.2.

All three major modding versions preceded major code rewrites, so basically the reason they've became so popular was because after that point it was known that the codebase was completely different, so modders were more willing to update their mods to the next "stable" version and develop it further on that.

But then of course after the 1.13 rewrite happened the modding community fucking balkanized so now we have like ten different modloaders and most modders are chasing the newest and greatest version, so for the most part the modding scene is dead in my eyes.
