Brianna - Head of development - character design
Amanda - Animator
Maria - "engineer"
Frank - spaceship design
Jannet - battle engine
Jay-yi - Intern - so she probably did nothing if she's not worth mentioning.

Minecraft was initially made by one dude what's your fucking point John?

FYI, Nixxes the guys that port a load of games to PC for Eidos, Ubisoft etc. do most of their work with just 6 people.
while it's "easy" nowadays with both xbone and ps4 running x85 cores, a generation ago you're talking about two different architectures that they have to port to x86 and then add a buttload of graphical options on top of it that don't run on consoles.

They do that in 6 to 12 months.

Dwarf Fortress continues to be made by two dudes. In other words, Johnny boy, quit your belly-achin'.

Meridian New World and Banished are one man shops also if I'm correct. Both infinitely better graphics than Wu's game.

It's amazing what one can accomplish by working instead of playing video games all day and whining on Twitter.

Don't Forget "I get this call every day" by the brilliant David S. Gallant (he has his own topic.)

"More than I initially guessed"

Wait, if he redid the lightning for an area, and then noticed that it took way too long, why the fuck did he still choose to redo the lightning for the whole game? ITS STILL GOING TO LOOK LIKE SHIT, THE MODELS ARE SHIT
The way it looks in the finished product you could have done the thing in an afternoon.

Every shot just looks like a bunch of purple/pink lights placed randomly then 1-3 red/green or yellow ones. Just go into Unreal copy and paste a few lights around randomly in those colours > Select them all, copy > Open every other map and just paste paste paste randomly. Each shot looks a fucking mess anyway lighting wise after over a year of work, doubt just pasting stuff randomly would look much worse.

I've changed so many things in this game but I really regret that I absolutely can't change this
>Head of your own studio
>Design all the characters yourself
>Write all the characters yourself
>Lead "Engineer" of said game
>Model all the characters yourself
>Have absolute final say on all creative decisions
>For some reason can't change any of them to be black, brown, yellow or have a bodytype other than catwalk stick insect

Actually thinking this excuse is at all acceptable while also shouting at other creators that Samus should be trans and also squealing with joy when Hermione is cast with a Black actress.

You're such a fucking joke John and it's pathetic your followers are not calling you out on this shit. Face fucking facts that beauty other than white and stick thin has absolutely no place in Brianna Wu's idealised autogynephilia fuelled idea of what female beauty should be.

A year of dev time is plenty to make the red haired one into a kick ass black woman, but nah instead we just get the same white characters bathed in pink vomit lighting.

Undertale was made by one guy, and Axiom Verge (a great homage to the original Metroid) was also a one-man deal. Both of them were huge indie successes.

My current thoughts:

1) The PC version still does not appear to have changed since her initial upload 4 months ago. It's either broken or not complete and she is trying to buy time to sort it out.
2) Guessing the same goes for a lot of the physical Kickstarter rewards she offered like the posters and t-shirts.
3) I don't understand how here backers/followers are this gullible, surely they can see the 'teaser' was uploaded 6 months ago and shows that the lighting was finished?
4) What about the update that 'Natalie' posted in August/September last year saying the game was imminent and would be released some time during October? If you started work on the lighting in July you would have known in September if it was only going to take you a few weeks to finish or another year. How do people not challenge her on this?
5) 106 retweets of the teaser trailer from 53k+ followers

Reviving a topic from a few days back...

@Luminous Being posted this late in the previous thread, and I thought it was worth commenting on:

N.K. Jemisin, whose badly written, stupefyingly boring book won the Hugo for best novel, is a black woman who was born in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1972. Like Flynt/Wu, Jemisin believes that anyone who disagrees with her should be silenced, and has led campaigns to ensure that this happens.

It's pretty funny that professional journalist -- and inveterate racist -- Flynt/Wu calls someone born in Iowa a "Nigerian," what with niger (Latin for black) being the root word for both Nigeria and the n-word that Flynt/Wu likes to toss around. Jemisin is a darling of the Social Justice Warriors because she demands that white people must apologize to her for wrongs done to her ancestors and must also pay her "reparations," something the SJWs are actually doing to the tune of $60,000 a year on Patreon. Flynt/Wu's envy must be beyond measurement.

N.K. Jemisin, now there's a blast from the past. Ever wonder why she doesn't call herself Nora Jemison anymore? Because her early writing career, back around the turn of the century, was devoted entirely to yaoi fanfiction of Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho and Bakuretsu Hunter characters. Her original website was called Mirai's World (for Mirai Trunks), but little of her previous fic-writing career seems to have survived online. One of the only references to her fic-writing days I can find is from this 2001 ff.net story:

https://www.fanfiction.net/u/40660/Kureeji

But there may be more on Google Groups. Anyone interested in a thread on her?
