What I’m a loss is why is Frog taking the side of Dick Masterson? I understand Dick was someone who was internet famous twenty years ago but he’s now an old guy with an overproduced YouTube podcast that barely gets 20k views?

I know Preston is so disgusting that many have completely turned a blind eye to Ethan taking ownership over the ComicsGate TM, and even say it is noble of him to do so, but that is just not the case. He saw this as the perfect opportunity to finally gain complete control and ran with it.

This isn't the first time he's done this.

Long time readers of this thread will recall that one of his copes for Iconic Comics is that Tim Lim did what he suggested in moving away from Trump themed books and onto Black Hops and Kamen America.

I dunno if Tim was actually listening to EVS or not, but none of that would explains why Iconic, much like Rippa, can manage to adhere to a release schedule and nobody in CG (to include EVS) ever can. As you say, there's no way in fuck Tim and Mark got that from EVS. Meanwhile, Vito is going to be late and gay with his book, so he's a perfect fit for CG if you actually think about it.

What's different between Iconic and Rippa though is the money. In the face of Iconic, FROG could always fall back on the claim that they weren't pulling in the money he is and that he's therefore still top dog. He can't do that with July.

I predicted in this thread back in 2022 that there was gonna be fireworks between EVS and July if ISOM did as well or better than Cyberfrog. It's happening a bit later than I expected, but it's looking like I'm not gonna disappointed after all. He seems to be using the feud between Dick/Vito/Riley/Rekieta and July as his opportunity to strike.

As the site at-large seems largely sympathetic to July, people who normally don't follow CG are also beginning to simultaneously discover what an asshole EVS can be. That is an increasing sentiment I'm seeing in both the Masterson and Rekieta threads. I expect the video he did just did with Riley will only further reinforce that view.
