Back in 2019, Edwin got caught up in a fight between different comicsgate groups over who should create and control "comicsgate" things. He made a fatal mistake and picked the wrong side to support. The wrong side being the side that Ethan Van Sciver didn't pick. Edwin left and moved on. But Ethan and the people who follow him never did.
Edwin today is a nobody reading books for tiny audiences on youtube. But to Ethan he is an eternal enemy who can never be forgotten. To a point where Ethan has to laugh at death's in Edwin's family in 2023.
Ethan Van Sciver is using his daughter as a weapon against Eric July because that is what he does. Ethan supported Eric July and worked with Eric July. And the story of Ethan's poor daughter is just to give the morons who follow Ethan a reason why they should now hate Eric July by Ethan's command rather than support him as they previously did by Ethan's command.
But this stuff is really better dealt with in the comicsgate thread if anyone wants to talk anymore about it.

I watched some CG stuff for a few months around the vic saga cause I was still awake after nick streamed so I would shop around for streams and ended up watching them despite having 0 interest in their comics. It was non stop gay ops and back stabbing (the kumquat thief thing was really fucking funny though). I stopped watching cause my sleep time changed though.

You never know what someone like him will perceive as an insult, but yes, this is mostly about control.

Poulter was a cynical operator who at a certain point decided that there was more in it for him to be an opponent of comicsgate than a minor follower of Ethan. Eventually Poulter became part of a whole group of people who were labelled "anti-comicsgate". Before they imploded, there was an escalating war of information releases on both sides until the bomb was dropped in the form of the Preston's pegging and cuck porn. That finished off Preston.
But Preston is a bad guy in many ways and not a victim in any of the comicsgate drama.
