Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has released a four-minute PlayStation lineup video directed by Densuke28 dubbed “Sense of Play,” which introduces 17 PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 titles to a song by syudou and arranged by Teddy Loid. The video highlights the following titles: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, Tekken 8, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Fate/Samurai Remnant, Super Bomberman R 2, Ys X: Nordics, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and FOAMSTARS.
Also, pre-orders for the PS5 Slim models (to be released in November 10th) just started today in Japan:

But the difference was that those were good works and stories while being heavily political or embracing a certain polemic, rather than hoping that just because they appeal to a certain viewpoint and crowd that they can compensate for mediocre story, character, etc, as we see too often in modern media.
One thing I did notice about Japanese games (and comics too) is that the presentation and storytelling always feel far more sincere than the modern western equivalents.
The West seems to have devolved into the most obnoxious form of writing imaginable, like the characters aren't allowed to play a heroic part in the plot unless their dialogues are wrapped up inside three layers of irony (at minimum) or their personality is incredibly abrasive and crass. As if the writers are somehow too afraid that their characters and story could be criticized or made fun of, so they write things they emotionally disassociate from. Either that, or the HR & marketing teams are placing their input into the creative process by using social media as a reference despite how un-organic it is. The puerile political virtue-signaling is just another problem pilling up.
Meanwhile I can load up a JRPG, and while the plotline might have a bit of silly bullshit here and there (KORE WA NAKAMA NO CHIKARA), the characters across the board are presented in a genuine way and anyone can tell the Japanese creators loved the characters they wrote. I can also shrug off said silly stuff because of the media being primarily aimed for teenagers and the likes, whereas the modern western equivalents claiming to be for mature audiences are really insulting these days.
Also something about characters looking visually appealing for both sexes (between sexy, cute and handsome) and the whole rule of cool in nip media.
The Metal Gear Solid trilogy is often referenced for its political conspiracy intrigues and philosophical themes in a videogame, but it's also a franchise known to show off cool shit and memetic catchphrases (LAUGH AND GROW FAT), in addition to be damn good games on their own.
On that note, I hope the disclaimer of MGS Collection Vol.1 stays true to its word and that Konami didn't pull a Capcom (see the Megaman Battle Network Collection).
