As far as I know, the only Bullpups in use with Special Forces is the Steyr Aug, which arguably is the best one. I would say that the general trend is the best weapons go to special forces, if they adopt it, it's worth looking at. If what they adopt becomes the standard for the rest of the military, then its probably great. AFAIK that's how the M4 SOPMOD became the base for the modern M4 infantry kit. I think in general, the advantage of the bullpup having a shortened barrel is negated by the disadvantage of having to cross your arms to reload, and that is reflected in the general military consensus across the world. Hence, the enormous popularity of the AR platform, and the long stroke piston system of the AK. The fact that the Russians developed the 5.45 which is very similar to the 5.56 and then the A-545 which
clearly is influenced by the M4 in terms of how the lower and upper parts are removed leads me to believe that the Tavor isn't really going to be around a decade from now unless I'm missing some key factor it has that other rifles don't.
I don't get it, seems backwards to me, and the idea of keeping things balanced and centered makes more sense as the MGX concept worked.
