Even if he did end up homeless he could still just move to L.A. or S.F. and stream from a phone. He'd get $400 reups from the San Franciscan tax payer on top of juicer money if he did that. Also, someone earlier in the thread said he used to be an HVAC guy, I don't know if that's true, but if it is he's probably just a good rock-bottom and 12-step stint away from being relatively normal. I agree with the rest of your post.

I don't really think it matters how much or how little money he gets. There isn't any playing penny slots in his world nor restraint. Unless they refused to give him anything but food, a cot, and roof over his head he is gonna die.

I want to be optimistic but I personally had to watch an addict in my family slowly kill themselves and destroy anyone who would be swayed by their begging for help. It is something we instinctively want to dismiss but there is a point when a person is past any form of recovery. You could lock him in a cell for 10 years and give him 5$ for a sandwich when he got out and he would put it in a slot machine.

very sadly, this, because lets not forget exactly what happened within such a short time frame
there is just no way forward, this was an eye opening moment for me, this was something special (short bus special)
there is no number where he walks away, it doesnt exist, i saw him go from 14 thousand to 3 and realised, there is no number
the only reason why Bossman Jack has not dipped below 8.5 thousand is because hes asleep right now after a 3 day crack bender
one good thing is that whilst hes been asleep, LTC has risen in price and given him a little $20 juicer ontop of his 8.5k

The 20k loss really killed any little hope I had left for him bettering himself, his brain has become legitimately so fried from gambling that it’s the only source of dopamine that he can receive anymore. I’m sure the crack doesn’t help either but gambling has truly buck broken this man’s feeble mind and will so through and through that he’s yelling and screaming about how good a spin with a 40 dollar win is, but will barely bat an eye to losing thousands in hours that could’ve paid his debts, bought him crack and a fat bag of weed, as well as adding a good amount to the nonexistent Civic fund.

i think its because when i see his balance i see a car, a new PC, a shitty house deposit or the first few months rent, a vacation, a console, a phone

I'm getting powerful vicarious "i'm not angry I'm just disappointed" vibes on behalf of bossdad. We all knew how this was gonna play out, so definitely his dad did too.
Austin is a huge piece of shit, but I'd have legit been happy on his behalf if he managed to get that car and briefly had something like success in the real world.

Honest question (as I've never had to deal with addiction either personally or indirectly): what can actually be done to stop this kind of addiction? You can't really physically stop him from gambling forever (even if he was homeless he'd find a way to gamble a dollar if someone gave it to him for food), and we all know even if someone could stop him for awhile, he'd immediately resume gambling the moment he could.

What's the treatment for the actual addiction?

Lead, he is so far past the point of no return. Even if you isolated him for over a year in a top of the line rehab facility, he'd still relapse less than a year after he got out. The damage is done, his body and internals are wrecked from drug use, his brain's dopamine receptors are fried, his ability to grasp logic and reasoning is non-existent, he has never had a sense of purpose or work ethic, he's never experienced what living in the real world is like and with a criminal record like his plus his online following finding gainful long term employment would be difficult. I love my Bossman, I hope he never stops being pog as a bitch, but the reality of his situaion is not lost on me and there's only one way this ends. It's just a matter of if he's still streaming or not when it does.

Lost another 200 in Keno, 900 total

BMJ is back to Keno after doing a slot for 2 minutes and got up to 900 but now back down to 200

he also discovered YouTube's new adblock cucking and thinks something is wrong with his computer
