If I’m remembering correctly, there was an immensely schizo but reasonable theory put forward by Harmful Opinions that Candid was a Google honeypot headed by a former product lead to lure in political dissidents, so that their language processing software could detect and filter out their posts. we all know what rekieta is doing. outside of running defense for his pledged lord dax, he is fishing for engagement because "twitter is free money". i just get annoyed by the whole "i hate getting into drama" when all he does is get into drama for the clicks.

the best thing to do is to engage him outside of twitter, there he can not monetize the engagement. like in the youtube comment section or kf, where he will see it, cope and seethe, but can't capitalize drama for money.

Given that automatic comment filtering and the like kicked off shortly after Candid got shut down, I don't think it was schizo at all.

They used natural language processing to identify hate speech, slander and threats, and removed them accordingly with human intervention.[1][note 1] Candid software analyzed topics and tried to flag rumors and lies as such.[6][1] Users could flag problematic posts and a team of ten contractors would review them individually.[6] With time the system analyzed a user's interactions and give them labels, such as socializer, explorer, positive, influencer, hater, gossip, etc.[6][3]

I can't remember if it was Nick's first appearance or second on Elijah Schaffer's show, but while at a bar after the show Nick claims he was slipped a roofie because he ended up collapsed on a toilet. Speculation abounds as to what the fuck actually happened, but given Nick's loose asshole relationship with honesty and tendency to lie by omission I'd bank he was making himself a plausible (in his mind at least) cover story in case some weird photos from the night got out.
