So a bit of insider info, word is that the reason the RINO nominees keep failing is that they go to the democrats who say "yes we will support you" only to get an -increasingly- insane series of demands for that support. So bad even the RINOs balk.

I don't think its serious either, but not because its made up. From what I gather the Dems are trying to take a mile, hoping to find a republican nominee desperate enough for power to sign off to a list of things they may want and can call in at any time for good press.

Its pure playing to their base, if true because I of course can't claim to have first person knowledge. But it would make -some- sense as a list of larger things they can call to vote whenever they want to give their base a series of small 'victories' to keep their base poll numbers up.

A friend of mine on site said it might also be an attempted reverse psychology thing. Make a demand so extreme that a RINO looks good in comparison and just the thought that a RINO might accept the deal being enough to make FC vote for a RINO.

A total eradication of all student debt
Legal abortion -without regard for trimester-
500 billion dollars of renewable energy funding
A halving of the current carbon tax limits
A 10 year deadline to ban all fossil fuels
Mandatory early voting and mail in voting national law



These -cannot- be serious proposals.

Exactly how much self-preservation does the average congress critter have? Probably enough to know that their voters ain't gonna tolerate them siding with the Democrats to place in a uni-party Speaker.

But we are in clown world so who the fuck knows anymore. Maybe some few necessary GoPers will take a payout and side with some Dem Speaker choice and nuke their careers in exchange for a nice phat payout.

I'm guessing the left assumes the right HAS to get a speaker to get the Israel war prep started?

Do they not realize the right's base actually WANTS congress to be shut down for as long as humanly possible?

But no all of those sound like pretty bog standard lefty asks. In fact I believe they've tried to sneak some of them into other bills as amendments, like the Mandatory early voting, the renewable energy funding, and the student debt one.

Hard to see that happening when the Freedom Caucus wins as much as the Dems by continuing to reject RINOs and, if said RINOs took the devil's bargain, forcing them to show their hand. Gaetz especially would love to see such a deal happen: it proves his entire point and gives him material all the way through the end of 2024.

And we're in one proxy war that's uh, "not going so well" (unless you count pork and embezzlement, then it's going GREAT) and our Greatest Ally (by conspiratorial mandate) just got themselves into a war that's threatening to become a full on regional conflict that they absolutely cannot survive without us dropping everything and diving in to save their god's chosen asses. Again. Only this time without any oil (because they ABSOLUTELY will Embargo us if we try to intervene, especially since they know we don't have any in the strategic reserves) and with all our spare weaponry already pissed away in Joe Biden's personal piggybank.

Oh, and we outsourced literally all our manufacturing to the OTHER OTHER war that's brewing the second we finish getting completely and utterly overextended, who will promptly cut us off the second it's convenient.

Oh and our economy is going to collapse literally any day now.



1 year and 12 days until election day. Can we get one more complete disaster on the books before November 5th 2023? How about a complete failure of our power grid due to a freak winter storm? Or ooh ooh, maybe a plane can crash on the way back from Israel that flips the Senate to the Republicans? Or Pedo Joe could have a stroke? Something, we need one more. Collect the whole set!
