Yeah, a lot of people get really weird about adeniums. I'm lucky that my fifteen year old is too big to move without a shitload of drama. When they're between 10cm and 30cm high they're at risk of spontaneously growing legs and walking out of your yard.

The most annoying thing was that the plant that got stolen was an extremely common colour and wasn't even particularly impressive in terms of the trunk formation. They're also popular with people trying to lose weight (most mainstream option being Slim Fast). Although even Slim Fast has guidelines, like you have to only drink a shake by itself. Y'know, since they're marketed as meal replacements. Staph probably thinks she's losing weight automatically by drinking it, even while eating 700+ calories of food at the same time.
