I think you just came with unrealistic expectations of what the start of the ground invasion would look like. As I understand it, the purpose the movement overnight was far, far from blitzing straight into Gaza City. Rather, it was simply to secure an entry point in the northernmost part of Gaza so that the IDF can start moving in material and setting up shop on Gazan soil, still well away from urban centers. It's Israel's own wall that spans the entire border with Gaza, so they'd prefer to knock down as little of it as possible for the sake of the invasion.

It was the promise of EU entry (and all the benefits) that made Turkey change it's constitution where the secular military was no longer able serve as an active counter to retards like Erdogan and his inbred supporters. And Turkey didn't get anywhere close to EU membership in the end anyway, all it got was some export benefits so stuff could be outsourced to Turkey and then sold back to EU countries for cheap.

Once again, things going to shit all because some cheapskate investment firm fuck wanted to save 10 cents or so on cheap disposable crap.
