The problem is that pretty much everyone on the Tranch was some form of Cluster B, and I've never met a Cluster B that told the fucking truth... even to themselves. They were all heavily abusing weed and very likely other drugs as well. I've no doubt that Penny is an abusive, violent, manipulative, vainglorious nutjob, but I've also no doubt that everyone else there was too, and it was basically a case of who had the stronger will. PL, but many years ago I briefly sharehoused with two Cluster Bs, they lied to me, they lied to each other, they lied to themselves, and honestly, by the time I was able to break free of them my brain was so scrambled I didn't know which way was up or down. Took me months to sort my shit out and to this day I'm still not sure what was real.Have there been any actual, credible reports of abuse (towards people) from the tranch? Like, I'm surprised. The tranch's whole situation makes it the perfect opportunity to abuse someone. It's in the middle of no where, somewhat off grid, takes in effectively homeless trannies who coast into town on fumes. There is no money flowing down from the top into the hands of the field troons so it's nearly impossible to escape once they're there. Everybody is mentally ill and has access to guns. And even if someone came forward, the trans community at large would try to cover it up or shout down the accuser for 'being a TERF'.
But the most we have heard is super vague comments about a sexual assault, and comments about Penny's 'toxic and manipulative behavior' without any real examples. So we get things like 'I was made to do household chores' and 'Penny didn't care that a grown adult might possibly have an eating disorder' as proof of the so called abuse?
Like, if I was Phil and I had just put in a hard day's work of their attempt at ranching, the last thing I would care about is a freeloader who maybe isn't eating enough. 'Good', I might even think to myself, 'more food for all three of us that do actual work around here'. Just because he (and Paul) were in charge of the tranch doesn't mean they are also responsible for every serf's mental health.
But to piggy back off of @glad vlad upthread, I truly want to understand these people's mindsets and what they expected out of the tranch experience. Have they just being getting away with pulling the 'muh mental health' card to be getting handouts all their adult life? And if that's the case, how could they think that excuse would work on a ranch?
Even if by some miracle their memories are clear, with all the dodgy shit went on, it's pretty much impossible for any of these dreadful people to be specific because chances are good they'll either self incriminate or Penny will find his own dirt to throw back at them. It's highly unlikely that we'll ever hear the 'real' story because absolutely nothing in, around, or about the tranch was real to begin with.
