Stream Lowlights Oct. 30: Interviewing Aidan Kearney - Turtleboy - about Indie Journalism, his Arrest for Speech, and Freedom Rumble here.

Grade B-. It was an A- until the last hour when he lost his mind and started drinking. Turtleboy was charismatic, his story compelling. After he left, Nick's first rant was repetitive but fine - 'THE GOVERNMENT IS BAD' - but well-told citing SCOTUS decisions like Wickard v Filburn, the Commerce Clause, and how America has become a regulated state.

His second rant... he lost his midlife crisis mind. More below.

Oh, and there was this...
1698736769287.png

Sonichu! He came as Nick was about to discuss God (I'm not joking). Nick's audio-something sperged. Happened 3x. I'm starting to believe in this demon. Maybe worth a clip. Rumble 2:34:55.

1698740728579.png

Well, then.

1) Turtleboy
- I'm not going to lay out the complicated Turtleboy story. His YT channel is here. An adequate article summing up the probable police corruption here. Big surprise: police corruption in a Boston suburb.

- Turleboy, under the guise of journalism, has basically aggressively inserted himself into this story and is facing decades in prison for doing so.

- Nick used this story to passively aggressively go after July (not named). ANYONE can go onto the property with open access, etc.

2) Rant #1: FREEDOM!!!

- He pivoted from Turtleboy to discussing his "Jordon Peterson" moment of almost crying over his Philly story about religious freedom:

1698744062329.png

- Btw, Nick, bc I know you're reading this thread, you seem to be interested in the priest's story. Some of us Catholics do easy homework. It's here.

- Rant was going fine until...

3) Rant #2: SEX AND LIES!!!! BUT IT'S A JOKE!!!

- I don't think I have the words but will try, with liberal paraphrasing.

The government wants to fuck you and will lie. Just like women lie to men. Women know when to look at a guy's dick just like a girl named Megan did to Nick in high school. She told him later that it was manipulative but she knew men like it. Women lie. Just like the government lies.

Men, same thing. You lie. You simply want to fuck her but you tell her that her stories are interesting when they're boring and annoying so you just lie. That's what the government does! SO, EVERYONE, FIX YOUR RELATIONSHIPS BY LYING!

- When the chat got annoyed, he said it was a joke. (It didn't sound like a joke.)

- Confirmed, Nick is actively reading this thread and is worried about his penis. See my earlier post with screencaps.

- 14 min late, 6500 watching at 1 hour across both platforms but Rumble reported 8300 viewers 2 hours into stream. He was headlined on Rumble so... maybe? I'll wait for @Potatoherder to weigh in.

- Trip to Twin Cities on Monday. Among the last time he'll be able to take the Mustang this season. Had to pick up his daughter on the way home. It started to snow.

- He didn't want to do the show tonight but had the interview scheduled.

- He DID hit a ditch with the Mustang last winter. Today brought back bad memories.

- Plans to do a "spooky Halloween show" tomorrow but has clearly not planned anything.

- Plans to have the 2024 Anime Matsui guests lined up by Jan. 1 and has some "crazy and unorthodox" ideas for what to do next year. He will NOT be inviting Vito.

- Plans to announce - he PROMISES - across platforms that he won't be streaming Wed & Thurs next week. He wants to do some 'man on the street' streams from FL. (Uhhh, Mar-a-Lago doesn't have much pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk and West Palm is full of wealthy seniors who won't want to be on camera. But sure, Nick..) He's excited to "make connections".

- Asked his chat to be polite to Turtleboy - this is a rather new request.

- DSP is sick? A Superchat said he is.

- Rumble is obsessed with religion. I've no idea why.

Trunk or Treat is a common thing in the American South.
Very common here in California. I remember it first coming about when I was in third grade as a means of having a safer Halloween. I also remember my brothers and I hated the idea and refused to do it.
But every school I attended from 3rd grade until high school had a trunk or treating night. And all of the locals schools around me had one last week. I usually chalked it up to it being a way to avoid in-city gang violence

And here I thought it was just some gay new fad. Not so much where I live but I was driving through central PA and NY last week and I'd see signs for it at churches and fire stations and the like. These are in small towns where there isn't any inner city violence. I could see it being a matter of parents being too lazy to walk a couple miles with their kids in close to freezing temperatures.

People liked him mainly because of the content he covered, and he put up a conservative front that resonated with people sick and tired of most streamers being degenerate weirdos. Without either of those, his content is shit, and he is shit.
Yes, Nick's personality (at least, the one he was putting up) and legal knowledge was enough in unison to carry him from case to case and foster a growing audience. But devoid of relevant content to orbit, he himself alone is not enough. Even generously disregarding the progressive reveal of a cesspit personal life and the weird feedback loops between that and online shit that have taken over.

Any good streamer/commentator depends on combining their personality with the content they're covering to reach and maintain success. It's common to see a streamer with good audience numbers switching content because they're bored of their main gig and it almost always results in their viewership plummeting, and subsequently a (resentful) return to their previous topics. There are a handful of content creators capable of a successful pivot but its a risky proposition for any and they roll the dice every time they do it.

The biggest most obvious sign of impending doom for Nick's streaming career is the combination of drinking with not having anything in particular to cover. If he's ever gonna pull it back, both of those things need to change because even if a golden goose comes around tomorrow in the form of a dynamite high profile court case, drunko isn't going to be able to coherently cover it in a way that is appealing to an audience because he's spending too much time deep in the sauce. Likewise, if he straightens up and flies right that's great, but without any content to cover he's just gonna languish in irrelevance until something comes along, and being stuck in that position is just gonna send him back to the bottle.

I'm almost, almost sympathetic towards his predicament.

Funny you should say that.

I didn't see this posted here yet, and there wasn't an archive before I just made one.

That's a hell of a thing for a father of five to say. Abandoning your kids is now "based"?

Though I guess it is on-brand if he still wants to still convince everybody that he's basically black.
I have a slightly different interpretation of this, following my aneurysm trying to decipher Nick's kiddie pool 'joke' yesterday.

I think that either:
A) He's suggesting Star Trek was based for making the black man a racist caricature absent father
B) He just wanted to make the racist joke, but it would have looked really weird with only the second line. He was sober enough to realise this, but the holes in his brain are too large to help him come up with a decent setup, so we got whatever this is supposed to be.

The real mystery to me is why he's shopping around such fresh, contemporary material, given Voyager aired 20 years ago. Even Patrick Tomlinson usually manages to make his shitty jokes about modern sci-fi shows.

Can't wait to see his next hip, edgy take about how Quark is a space jew.

A few weeks back Nicky revealed that Our Wife spends all of her waking hours lying in bed watching Star Trek, he must have caught a few episodes while bull prepping.

Another trip to the hair rejuvenation clinic and beef jerky salesman? I wonder if Nick ever got the winter tires for the Mustang. I guarantee he'll try and drive it again in the snow with the summer times on.
- He didn't want to do the show tonight but had the interview scheduled.
Does he ever want to do a show? Wasn't this the new "interview series" he started and did 1 stream? He's already bored of it before episode 2?
- Plans to do a "spooky Halloween show" tomorrow but has clearly not planned anything.

These 2 statements are perfect. The Matsuri plans will definitely end up like the spooky show plans. Last minute and probably not even finished.

Same, she even looked pretty good for a middle aged mom, better than the leathery women in the chat, plus she had a fuckload of morals and didn't mind being the whipping boy for the rest of the fandom for calling out Nick on his hypocracy. She was like Jesse PS for boomers. That also brings up a good point, most of this thread was preoccupied with obsessing over the locals weirdos and the actual hatred of nick was a side plot up until the eric july stuff overall. sure his streams were getting worse and he was embracing the booze more but thats when the thread went from passive hatred to active hatred. its like how everyone hated @Flamenco but then once the dox and horny hackers happened it went from "yeah he sucks what can you do" to "we're rooting for your demise".

My obsession being understandable, I believe that, at the time, Nick was simply being a repetitive drunk coomer tard. The mockery got old, so the LOCALS crowd was a more appealing target for mockery and entertainment.

As an aside, Nick has always managed to deflect criticism by having more exceptional people around him. Drexel enabled the start of the degeneracy, and Coomalot took it further. He could always say ' I go where the guest goes!'. Maybe this explains why he wants porn stars on so much...

- Plans to have the 2024 Anime Matsui guests lined up by Jan. 1 and has some "crazy and unorthodox" ideas for what to do next year. He will NOT be inviting Vito.

He said that there were plans like this last year...

Nick did a LOCALS stream:

The stream in which Nick Seethes about TOTALLY NOT NULL and does not imply he is paedophillically motivated.

- It was in thr hot tub, but he forgot to put the cover on, so the water level was lower. He slouched so his shoulders wouls not be cold.

- Nick is mad at Twitter. He is shadowbanned and no one got his joke about his Matthew Perry Halloween costume. He thinks talking about CSAM got him banned.

- Nick talked about the CSAM hash filter and the 'hypothetical programmer'. He asked if it wasn't weird to want to write a program to find and tag it. He did a lawyer question 'Isn't it true that you can tag things for good or bad purposes?' Couldn't they use it to archive and collect it!?!?! Why are you doing it if you are NOT A GOVERNMENT or big tech platform.

- Nick states that he did not say he was talking about any one person, but he then went to say that 'If this person never gave anyone the benefit of the doubt for anything, why should we give them the benefit of the doubt?' You look at their statements and history and make the decision. If you look closely at them, they get weird about things in their past. People get to draw their own conclusions. 'What if someone reached out and said that someone misunderstood something...' They are not understanding that. They think they know everything, but miss so much.

He is NOT seething and has NO ONE specific in mind, kiwibros!

- Nick gives a terrible explanation of hashing and content filtering, then says 'I am not a programmer! I don't know!' They could be good or bad, and we should discuss it.

- Nick asks if anyone can prove Chris-chan plugged his mum. The court let him go... He then pivoted into an unironic age of consent discussion. (Not that way) He thinks 18 is a bare minimum floor. Nick said that some people (TOTALLY NOT JOSH) identify CSAM as something they do not like, but it has a very specific legal definition.

NO IT DOES NOT! In the US, is there not a 'Know it when I see it' definition? This is a dig at Josh's stand on Loli.

- Nick tries to make a good show. He is not chasing subs, but it is hard to pick topics that people like. It is hard to know. He also likes talking about 'freedom' topics now.

- He told a story about bringing a National Geographic on a school trip and it being taken until the trip was over beciase it had nudity. Told in the context of teachers intervening with students in the context of catching mass shooters.

He thinks talking about CSAM got him banned.
Oh sweet speedy karma. If true, fucker got what he deserved. No more net positives on that Twitter blue account, Balldoman! Enjoy the shadow realm with such luminaries as... *checks list* Armzgurl.

The problem is, redemption is truly impossible for Nick.
The persona of “geeky small town lawyer with libertarian Christian values raising his kids by example giving his insight and opinion on legal matters relevant to the internet” has been completely destroyed. Even if he quit drinking and quit watching porn 100%, he will never reclaim that same reputation. His entire brand was broken and the closest he could get to a redemption is becoming a “I was an addict once so I understand it” guy.
Agreed.

A bigger issue than the alcoholism or hedonism is that he's presented himself as a flip-flopping lazy and arrogant weasel. One of the most important traits in offering any kind of commentary is a perception that you have some degree of authenticity. This is key no matter what you're commenting on. Nick is arguably one of the most disingenuous big creators in recent memory. He's quite literally as King Ralph said, a shyster and a liar. Everyone knows it, from the top on down. This in combination with being a lazy jackass is what makes his recovery extremely unlikely.

He would need an external force to really change on that level, and it sure as hell isn't going to come from Dax or Drex. It's also obvious his family has no existing say. Maybe one day Kayla's Rx will run out and she'll be lucid enough to put her foot down instead of letting her husband destroy his earning capacity, embarrass them and damage their children irreparably.

What kind of hypothetical person would be a vocal defender of self-professed pedophiles and child groomers, and also be very upset with the idea of CSAM blocking programs? What kinds of interests might such a non-existent person have behind closed doors that such programs might interfere with? Wouldn't want to make any baseless, slanderous accusations of criminal activity about any specific individual, but just speaking purely theoretically here, there is certainly an implication.

May also be a reference to Cuties. Nick now agrees with Christopher Gesualdi the Pedophile and Dax Herrera the Pedo-Friend that it's just a wholesome anti-child-exploitation film.

Blew YT ( $129 ) out of the water on this one. Of course it was a paypig heavy take, but in this case a 4 way fight: Patrick_T, 11BravoCrunchie, Two4Flinching, and JasonOfTGA. The weird thing is how back heavy the rumble rants were. It's not super uncommon but they aren't usually this dense.

Sure Nick loves the name.
BallDoGagger4000Nick, These guys are legitimately in actual fear of Turtleboy. They fear he will expose them and their crimes.1

I feel confident claiming that Nick is homosexual solely based off his Twitter addiction.

This is a cautionary tale, @Null.
Pretty based of Elon to safeguard Josh's heterosexuality by keeping him banned.
What is the most recognizable lapse when rekieta went downhill? The rumble contract?
For me, it was that stream where Nick had Kayla on and she blathered about essential oils and having her masseuse fondle her. That was when I realized these people might just be retards. I didn't bail right then, but I stopped giving the Nick the "he's on my side" tribalistic benefit of a doubt.
I just find it funny how anytime anyone gets closer to Dax their life starts to spiral without fail.
Herrerium poisoning also causes your hair to start falling out.
