Wikia / FANDOM - The ugly result of giving aspies control of their own wiki websites

The wiki I really liked that got banned under unclear circumstances was the Polandball Wiki. I spend a stupid amount of time on that in Middle school. The other ones were the Randomness wiki, which kind of sucked (mods were fags who clutched pearls over jokes) but had some funny pages and all the other wikis that were "vandalism" or "do whatever you want" wikis. The Polandball wiki getting banned really sucked, that wiki was started in 2010 and I was there since 2017 up until it got banned in 2021.
For those interested here is a complete list of all wikis banned without admin consent by FANDOM staff. You'll notice that "Polandballusers wiki" is also banned, I made that wiki back in 2018. Link

Speaking of Zelda, I've found this giant page where they've over-analyzed the technology of the series. But since you guys want more of:
Only if you like watching kids and manchildren lunge at each other's throats.
Someone threw down the gauntlet over how autistic this is, went three rounds with the locals and an admin, got banned for an month

Some more historical sperging from an different user

Edit warring over the gender of an background character and the jannies are retarded enough to keep it going to the point where most of the page's history is about an single line of text getting reverted

So apparently there's some kind of exodus going on with Fandom?

Good, Fandom is intrusive with how they try and push you to other Fandom-wikis and on desktop it's generally just a bad experience. Fandom, Reddit, and Discord are largely responsible for the death independent fan sites and their times can't come soon enough. The Hollow Knight and Megaten wikis are already much improved by running on MediaWiki instead.

It's the eyelashes, man.
I'm sure most of us thought he was a girl for that reason, not to mention being voiced by a woman in the cartoon. If I had to pick which is the lesser of two evils I would go with (and may Allah forgive me for saying this) femboy because at least that makes more sense. Pooners are generally known for being tomboys, and Nermal centering his entire identity around cuteness is like... the exact opposite of that.

Also, this exchange made me LOL.

Is this bigot implying that transmen aren't True and Honest males?

It's really disheartening when every single fandom has two wikis now and one of them is always "the bad one."
The greater tragedy is Fandom always having the SEO to be above the better made, less ad-ridden, and more accurate independent wiki in every search result, even in the case where the independent wiki was first like UESP

We must return to independent wikis, forums, and IRC channels.
I totally agree with this.

Many of the bad things that happened to the Internet and culture in general can be attributed to the centralization of communities and communication into a few platforms. We used to have a cyberspace full of communities with their own standards and culture, everybody had their own place to be. At the end of the day freedom and self determination was traded for convenience.

The worst part is that it happened in a short amount of time
