Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

Please tell me you didn't start with Z
I did, guess I just wanted to see dudes with weird hair powering up, but you're right, I should have started with the original Dragon Ball. Just watched the first episode, and it's pretty fun.

The animation quality definitely feels nicer compared to DBZ. I was watching DBZ Kai, and the HD look isn't really doing it any favors.

I'm slowly upgrading my PC. I replaced my 1660 Super with a 12GB 3060 but an accident with the plug killed my 2TB SSD
Null sock spotted?

I bought the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection twice, first copy was for my PC and the other one was for my PS5 so I get the trophies. I normally don't care about Playstation trophies but there's just something with me and MGS that really makes me want to get all the trophies in the games...

There's a ton of filler in DB, but at least it's comfy. The thing about DB I always liked was that it had a sense of adventure and of a huge, unfolding world. Once you get to Z, that's completely gone, and locations don't matter at all, because it won't be long before the characters are fighting in the skies of a large empty landscape. And it's not just the geography, it's the lack of exploration of possibilities; after Z (and particularly in Super), every time they "zoom out" on the world to reveal more, a larger space, a multiverse, timelines, dimensions, etc, they immediately go to "THE ENEMY IS THE STRONGEST IN THE [CATEGORY]", completely destroying the sense of wonder and mystery.

Though I don't follow it, I'm pretty sure that's one of the biggest draws of things like One Piece: it's an adventure in a big world full possibility, and even though they go into the big strong fights, the travels to new places where things aren't just stronger, but different, continue.

You can tell a big difference between how the orignal fdragonball and stuff after it is handled by the fact Goku doesnt die when shot by bullet to the head not because of his strength or anything, but because he's just a thick headed little kid taken to it's literal extreme. His head is just as dense as he is.

Found these in the wild:

They are the best fidget toys ever and up until now I've only been able to get them online. The shop only had three though, and unfortunately these things only last a week or two in my man hands before they burst, so I'll be lucky if they last a month. But what a month!

Also got a tube snake, haven't had one before, but they're pretty cool.

Got some cute little plant pots for cacti/succulents, and got a couple new succulents too.

Another extremely autistic thing I bought was one of these:

It's a horrible little plastic 'exercise ball' for rodents. I was given one with my first rat and I quickly realised how dreadful the things are. I ended up repurposing it as a little den in the cage, and it was a hit. Unfortunately, after many years of use, it broke and now I've to replace the fucking thing. Very annoying.

However, my most autistic purchase of all today wasn't a purchase. I went past a neighbour's this morning, who have been renovating for the past month. I happened to glance in their skip and saw that they'd thrown out some surplus planks, and I don't know why, but I felt the compulsive need to rescue them before they got wasted... so now I've got half a dozen 2m planks in our fucking storage and I don't know why I did it.

I'm turning into my fucking father.

Admittedly, I am a COD consoomer myself. Don’t know if I’m inhaling a lot of copium, but I think this installment ain’t gonna be bad. I know it’s gonna let me down sooner or later so better play a lot when I’m having a lot of fun.
It’s going to be solid if what I played in the beta is any indication. Your post reminded me to order it finally, so thanks for that.

Thread tax - bought some more HD-DVDs bc they were 80 cents and I enjoy the small shelf of red cases I’ve got.
