It is easy as fuck to make bread so I'm not including it in this list because honestly, cave men were making bread. It is not rocket surgery.

There are two turkey farms within five miles of my home. The local farmers market has tons of cheese producers and local meat. A lady down the road has eggs for sale.

Granted, this is because of where I live, and not reflective of the entire nation.

You can get good local food in the USA. But yeah the government overreach is fuckin stupid and literally has done nothing to improve quality. But rather, has done the exact opposite.

American bread just can not get mouldy. I don't even want to think about what kind of chemicals they use to make bread 100% mould resistant. Is it even bread at that point?

There are a few preservatives but calcium propionate is one. Sorbic acid is another.

According to the FDA website, the FDA was founded after years of lack of regulation, in such industries like meat packing.

The original Food and Drugs Act is passed by Congress on June 30 and signed by President Theodore Roosevelt. It prohibits interstate commerce in misbranded and adulterated foods, drinks and drugs.

The Meat Inspection Act is passed the same day.

Shocking disclosures of insanitary conditions in meat-packing plants, the use of poisonous preservatives and dyes in foods, and cure-all claims for worthless and dangerous patent medicines were the major problems leading to the enactment of these laws.

Yeah, over regulation is definitely a thing as well, but I personally like some oversight to make sure people aren’t cutting corners and adding fake dyes/fillers to meat to make it look “fresh.” That’s what you had to deal with if you were poor and meat was hard to come by. These types of sellers would use things like dyes to pass off the meat as “fresh.”

Here is my 2 cents, Food in the US is purely pay to win meanwhile in Europe even the poorfags food is good but you can in the US have access to good food if you go out of your way/pay up for it.
