You are an absolute retard. Even a higher speed train than regular in German for Berlin to Dusseldorf a 6 hour drive, which is done in 4 hours costs $116. Absolutely delusional if you think a fair price is under $100 for a 2 day straight drive across the country.

I'm well aware, just wanted to see what the retard though was a fair price. I've been on long distance train rides in the US and would much rather drive than fly or hop on a train.
Another issue with train tracks is that they are heavily influenced by actual geography in comparison to air travel, alongside having to deal with existing property and infrastructure. Also, maintaining these proposed high tech train lines will be hugely expensive especially on the scale required.

Of course it’s American, you don’t see Euros adding spicy peppers to their cheeses
It's a fantastic combo, the creaminess and oil of the cheese buffers the spiciness of the peppers. You get the enjoyment of the peppers without the overwhelming and lingering effect of much spicy food

Holy fuck, you are truly delusional.

Not only that, you have fucking excuses for everything and act like nobody on these forums is poor or has been poor.

You're worse than poor.

You're a loser who wallows in being a loser. There are dudes with no legs in India telling you to get down off the cross, they need the wood to burn their wife alive.

And there are users of this forum who think the west has fallen because women (rightfully)don't want to fuck them.

This is 2,189 driving miles from Atlanta to LA.

These are your flight options.

If you want to travel from Lisbon, Portugal to Warsaw, Poland which is 2061 miles(driving), it may cost you $135 by bus.

If you want to buy an interrail pass to go by rail, it can cost ~$250-$300 not including anything else.

Long distance travel like this is never "affordable" but it is much more affordable now than any other time.

There are too many potential nodes required to create something like that in the US, all spread out over the nation, it would be a financial black hole and even then most people wouldn't even want to use it. It'd be a slower version of air travel, and already in the US many people prefer driving to that.
There's nothing quite like going wherever the fuck you want to go whenever the fuck you feel like it, without consulting any schedules or timetables, limited only by the money you have and the time you have to do it.

Just turn the key and roll.

Our friend @Spunt wrote why this is so, why train tracks are spaced the way they are, and brought it back to wagon wheels pulled by mules in the Roman era.

If you haven't read Spunt's series on the UK you're missing out.

Dude for real. Some of my best memories were hopping in my car with some friends and driving around the area for hours smoking cigarettes, listening to music, and just talking. I've found some amazing shit out the backroads. The best thing is when you lose cell service for a good while and just reflect on things, just you guys alone

That may seem small, but for anyone who has ever tried to cross Wyoming (nobody actually *goes* to Wyoming from what I understand), it's also quite annoyingly big
Lost me here, I've driven all through the yellowstone area multiple times in a day or so, it's not that hard

American food is the greatest in the world and there's actually no competition on this matter.
