A lot of it is imported and it's ridiculously cheap, and, from my experience living in Germany, the same price or cheaper than equivalent cheese in Europe due to lack of insane taxes and overhead. There are ~500 Trader Joe's in the US. I can guarantee you the vast majority of Americans live within 30 minutes of one. It's a choice in America to eat shit. It's not a requirement.
Meanwhile, in my large German city, I could never consistently buy fucking cilantro at the grocery store. And you only could go to the store at 6 after work? Well, sorry! All the produce will be sold out and don't even bother to ask them to restock it.
This is all pure cope and seethe.
