Debate user 'Null' if America has Cheese, Meat, and Bread.

Josh's argument is basically that "there might be good food available in the US, but it's a long drive if you live out in the middle of nowhere." Which is I guess a truism, since everything is a long drive away if you live out in the middle of nowhere--sometimes even Walmart!

It's also probably not true in practice. Where I used to live in rural Wisconsin, there were tons of local farms selling high quality meat and cheese and honey and bread and whatever else a Buffalo sauce-chugger could ever want for food, which I would guess is as good or better than anything available in Europe. He's right that there are fewer bakeries selling real bread here except in cities--there happen to be two in my current neighborhood, but I do live somewhere urban--but that's really a criticism of transportation culture than it is food culture.

And anyway, as we all know, while the French champagne has always been renowned for its excellence, Californian knock-offs are basically just as good.

He grew and pickled his own banana peppers, I bet they are a lot better than store-bought.
They are. I've grown those things for literally decades. First they're super easy to grow, nothing seems to kill them, and they're delicious. It's not even hard to pickle them.

That said I still have a jar of store-brand pickled banana peppers in my fridge most of the time.

As the Euro lies on the ground, weak from single bite of American cheese over powering it's taste buds, the American reaches for a 5th slice of Thanksgiving pizza while rubbing it's patriotic gunt.

"No," the Euro says, "that isn't locally source and true to Italian culture. What about the culinary history?!"

"Shut up fag," says the American as it inhales the slice.

there's legally mandated controls and inspections for signs of potential parasites (like trichinosis) in the meat when slaughtering animals that can carry them
i assume these burgerland food safety agencies that josh hates so much do similar things
I don't think they do b/c I've personally known people who've gotten tapeworms from undercooked pork.

If Krauts aren't getting tapeworms left and right from eating raw pork hedgehogs and shit, I would assume Josh is right and they do have better regulations and conditions for pork production/inspection. Espequally if they don't have the same issue with meat producer monopolies deregulating shit as much as humanly possible for their bottom line.

Factory farms especially are godawful. Literal nightmare fuel.

Update: went to a little fancier store 20 minutes away, found butterkäse, I live in the middle of fucking nowhere, gonna make a grill cheese tonight jit
i am trolling my forum into having higher expectations and standards of literally every facet of their life, from banking and network infrastructure, to cheese.

historians will wonder where this bastion of sanity came from

If you don't live around niggers, and have a Kroger nearby, chances are they have a Bakery that makes and sells fresh bread(not just pastries) and have assloads of real cheeses as well. The quality of your local Kroger varies wildly depending on your proximity to niggers or white trash though.

Also where I live(it's not in a city) we have them all over the place, so I can easily go to one if I ever wanted some fresh bread or cheese varieties.

The meat situation I'm not experienced enough to comment on.

Making your own food is the only based way to live. It is super fucking easy to pickle things, I have like 8 jars of pickled jalapenos in my fridge that I pickled recently. My dad taught me how to pickle and make jam and it's really not hard and jam especially lasts forever.

Baking your own bread is tricky at first but once you figured it out it's easy and you can bake for a month in advance. Same with pizza dough and homemade pizza sauce etc. You can even make your own cheese like feta super easy if you get your hands on unpasteurized milk. Your own butter, yogurt etc. Take the homesteading pill and just make your own shit and save tons of money.

I would only point out that the Amish are given many leniencies concerning butchery and wholesale laws. I'm so sorry that Florida only has Pittsburghers, Cubans, and Jewish. But, be glad! It makes you an honorary Yinzer, ya jag!

I spent a few minutes trying to decipher the discrepancy between your rant and the Yeltsin article before realizing it's just a non-sequitor and you could've quoted "they gonna be heccin upset" from literally anyone in any context with no need to link some boring ass article.
I specifically made this account to say that you are an autistic faggot, Joshua.

bro I have asked friends to go scout grocery markets to find basic shit and i'm shocked wholefoods is basically just walmart now, they used to have organic real cheese and variety. even in some big cities it's fucked.
...what fucking world do you live in?
This is a small-sized Trader Joe's cheese section:

A lot of it is imported and it's ridiculously cheap, and, from my experience living in Germany, the same price or cheaper than equivalent cheese in Europe due to lack of insane taxes and overhead. There are ~500 Trader Joe's in the US. I can guarantee you the vast majority of Americans live within 30 minutes of one. It's a choice in America to eat shit. It's not a requirement.

Meanwhile, in my large German city, I could never consistently buy fucking cilantro at the grocery store. And are you only able to go to the store at 6 after work? Well, sorry! All the produce will be sold out and don't even bother to ask them to restock it.

This is all pure cope and seethe.

Null obviously missed an opportunity to get into the cheese and dairy business back when he had to invest into an industry located in whatever podunk state so that he could open a bank account there.
