Yeah, this. I don’t even think they were prepared for what would come of it. Probably thought they’d get a few hostages, use it to trade for other hostages, and that would be it. But their dudes chimped out at an unprecedented level and they now have no idea how to deal with the resulting war. I know people were theorizing that they have stockpiles of resources in the tunnels but the way they were all panicked on the phone begging the Indonesian hospital for all their fuel kind of indicates to me they don’t have much down there and are probably really struggling.
