In my opinion, as a professional Opinion Haver, you get this reaction when someone has it coming. When someone is showing off and comes a cropper it's extra hilarious because of the showing off. When someone is flaunting a position of privilege they didn't earn, and then ends up getting taken down a peg or two then we enjoy it more than if they were some downtrodden schmuck getting kicked in the balls again.
