I somewhat disagree with these points for a couple of reasons:

1) The election season.
Views regarding anything right-related will exponentially increase. (See Joe's views and Superchat money for covering that incredibly boring Trump v Colorado hearing. He's got 1000 on YT, and 500 on Rumble right now. That's 2x his evening views and the Superchats are rolling in.) This also explains why Nick's been covering Trump so much - a topic he detests.

If Rumble knows what they're doing, they will definitely insist on the YT to Rumble switch. Even the boomers might catch on in order to get an alternative voice to Fox, but they'll certainly start with YT. (Nick will def be annoyed af if they require it.)

2) Rumble has been public for a year.
Rumble went public in Sept. 2022. In most cases being publicly traded requires a provable growth trajectory. That obviously leans into keeping both Locals and the YT-to-Rumble switch alive, particularly given the election.


It's a good point but I did some rough numbers. At best, YT probably projected $47K/year on their cut of Nick's Superchats (30% of $1000/show x 3 shows/week x 52 weeks). I'm sure the recent numbers were higher due to Depp/Heard but everyone knows that was an anomaly. That's not huge money.

Rumble likely cares more about views in order to attract advertisers (big money). That begs a bigger Rumble issue. SJWs still dominate the conversation about right-wing platforms. Will Fortune 500 companies ever dare to advertise on Rumble?

The election is an anomaly. If they are truly intelligent, they will look past that and put in some clause or caveat that they think will get Nick to bring then a slice of the pie with coverage. I do think that they are slightly less concerned with this because they are (foor good or ill) branded as the 'right wing platform' and have struggled to go mainstream.

All this assuming they have competent people running the show.

Regardless, I believe Nick will smell the money and arrive (late) to thr coverage, but he will still make some decent cash--irrespective of any stipulations in his contract.

People have to register an account. That's a huge barrier. There's a reason why almost all social media, even big companies, has a button to one-click login with AppleID or Google now. You already have a Google account, and if you're on Android you almost definitely have GooglePay/Google Wallet setup, so sending a superchat takes literally zero additional time investment.

The time between wanting to say "fuck joggers", registering to Rumble, and sending the $10 "fuck joggers" gives you plenty of time to change your mind, think about what you could buy with that money, or for the stream to progress past the relevance of your message.

When I suddenly had to switch from YouTube and DonationAlerts to Rumble+Odysee exclusively, I lost almost all revenue except for people already using those platforms.
