Doing things is hard. Attaining self-awareness is impossible.
For someone who constantly mocks "normals" for their lack of computer skills, Flynt/Wu sure spends a lot of time complaining about about technical chores that many children could perform with no difficulty at all.
With Flynt/Wu it is two angles on that same problem.
If it is something we know to be easy (in this case litterally making clipart achievement image jpgs) and they whine about it, the probability is high they actually know how to do it quickly but are dragging things out as much as possible for 'marketing'/maximum lazy time by making it all seem super duper hard to do.
If it is something we know to be easy or otherwise common sense for somebody supposedly of Wu's technical skill level and they AREN'T whining about it (or even bragging about it), then it actually is hard for them. Like understanding how computer processing works.
Why in the fuck is she even making trading cards? I wouldn't trade any cards for those horrors.
Pure fluff. If you own the game and play for over two hours (read: can't return the game point of no return), you get 'card drops' equal to half the number of total cards there are, though you can potentially just get that many copies of the same single card.
Now, the entire point of the trading card gimmick in Steam is actually tied to your 'level' - you earn exp on Steam by either buying games or completing badges, which entails collecting a full set of one game's cards. Then you get to do it all over again WITHOUT the free card drops because badges have multiple levels so you can re-earn them again to get more exp.
There are two reasons for bothering to make badges that aren't tied to the achievement system: the first is when you make a 'badge' you unlock a free game-related item, like steam page background or an emoticon to use in the steam chat window. The second reason is to advance your steam level, which every ten levels or so increases your base chance of a three card 'booster' pack dropping (don't know how this works, never fucking got one myself). This percent chance is stupidly low until you hit level 50, and while you can make 'offers' and shit to complete sets, if you're really arsed about it you just pony up the cash because it's all literally worth only nickels and dimes to buy the shit you need (you can also sell cards obviously) and in the end you just funnel more money into the Steam machine to increase your Steam e-peen level.
So obviously Wu is going to fucking add that shit in, pouring money into games to make up for a lack of interest and skill to actually be bragging-rights worthy is their bread and butter.
