You know, part of me would like to see the Gator game getting some recognition from the videogame press, since a character like Olivia is what you could call "inclusion done right", but on the other hand, i think the less attention this gets from the press (since they're mostly woke crowds) the better.

Sadly Cavemanon is a name that is directly associated with 4chan, regardless of the content of their game, it's originality or inclusivity.
I have no doubt Wani is going to be a great experience but the retards producing/consuming woke garbage don't actually care about *good* inclusivity where a character happens to have a handicap rather than their handicap being the only thing that becomes their personality, it has to be right "correct" kind of inclusive - y'know, bending the knee to BIPOC and troons, self-flaggelation if you're white and only X people can write/perform X character otherwise it's appropriation or some shit.

World of Horror won some stuff (according to the Steam promotion) which is a surprise because I know people who seem to genuinely love that game, and from what my friends have told me about the game it seems far from oscar-bait as you can get.

Genuinely surprised. I love World of Horror but it’s definitely not a game for normal humans. It’s a designed to be a throwback to hardcore PC rpgs from the 80’s. The game uses very primitive pixel graphics, is heavily immersion focused rather than narrative and it’s randomized like a rogue like so you never get the same experience twice and it’s extremely complicated at first glance. In fact the game straight up tells you to play the easiest scenario first just to understand how the game functions because there are just too many mechanics to properly get it if you jump in blindly.

It’s the polar opposite of Volcano High. It’s mostly gameplay based, it requires smart thinking, careful planning, and even with all of that the RNG can still kill you, it doesn’t even really have animations either. WoH is very much a niche game for weirdos who want a first person eldrich horror RPG with only 3 colors on display and it’s proud of that.

Now it seems that a bunch of people are trying to band together to make their own version version of Snoot Game, this time the setting being a Mexican public high school.

I have mixed feelings however, on one hand, replacing dinosaur people with creatures and cryptids from Mexican and Latin American folklore i think is a good choice, it'd help to make this game stand out as it's own thing, on the other hand, the character design is... well you can tell the artist draws porn, i do hope the people working on this game manage to show some restraint. I'll keep an eye on this project, best-case scenario, it will be something new to play after I wani hug that gator.

That game has the potential to be either an even bigger of a shitpost than Snoot Game ever was, or to be a quite dramatic and emotional story about teenagers trying to deal with their lives the best they can.

Compare that to GVH, a game made by privileged people living in a bubble, considering how GVH lacked any meaningful conflict and all characters had first-world problems at worst.

I this VN made by spics eventually releases, the difference between it and GVH is going to be night and day.

I think that's a solid choice for a unique setting, however I think the second character you showed off is too gaudy in colouring. I can't tell the artist draws porn from these designs though, but I can tell it's a furry artist.

The alebrije one? I thought it might have just been some sparkledog OC design stuff, but looking it up, it seems like the bright colors and mismatched parts is their whole thing. I'm not really familiar with Mexican culture, but, knowing that it's intentional in that respect, it seems kind of nice. It still definitely looks like furry art, but... I guess that makes sense? Can't really fault it after I went and played a dinogf VN.
I hope if this winds up finished, it gets an English translation, maybe with an accompanying guide for smelly, uncultured gringos like me to understand the references.

(These look really neat to me. I wonder if anybody's made a game using a visual style based off of them, that'd be pretty cool for a fantastical setting.)
